How long is ur tank?
I really don't know all I know it's a 35g tank it's a bio cube
Not trying to be mean here, but you seriously need to do research before buying anything. Yellow tangs have a minimum tank requirement of about 100 gallons (at absolute MINIMUM), for their swimming needs, and also for grazing and waste removal. Please do the fish a favor and find him a better home before he develops fatty liver disease and dies a premature death.I really don't know all I know it's a 35g tank it's a bio cube
Not to be a "tang police" but your tang looks pretty healthy from what I can see. But is he happy? Here are the answers from the well respected professionals

No sweat just a noob but I do have a bigger tank which I eventually will put the yellow tang in
^Exactly. So you're saying that because you're new you don't have access to google? One google search would have told you not to get that fish. If you really do have a bigger tank (100 gallons or more), you need to move him immediately. Like today. Even a few weeks in a cramped tank can wreak havoc on active fish like tangs.Being new is not an excuse for not researching before you purchase an animal with specialized care requirements. It's plain ignorance. If you have a bigger tank you need to move it asap. Being in such a small tank can cause a myriad of problems for a fish like this.
It's an 90g tank but thanks for the advice guys. I appreciate it
