What's your favorite LFS?

I have a couple nice LFS near me, Blue ribbon aquatics and capital aquarium.. blue ribbon has a couple large show tanks that are amazing, a 300 gallon in wall greats you as you walk in the door but my favorite is in their marine section, not sure the size but the top edge is only about 3 feet off the ground and made to view from the top down.

Old picture, it’s now full of basketball size colonies =)

Preuss Pets in Michigan used to be phenomenal about 10 years ago. However, in recent years their prices sky rocketed and selection took a dip.

Reefwise was local to me and used to be amazing for rare and unique fish. They were a sponsor here I believe. The prices weren't for the faint of heart, but I've seen a Kingi Tiger, lots of conspics, lennardis, all kinds of crazy rare fish. I think they lost the guy who had all the wholesale connections. They've taken a noticeable dip in selection as well recently.

@YourReef Is my favorite Lfs. They have an online store that I think is his main business, but he also has a store front 2 miles from my house. Always great selection of frags, and carries all the emergency equipment and drygoods one could need in a pinch.

I have pieces from john. :)

Great guy

Worlds Under Water in Johnson Arkansas. The store itself is pretty small but it has an Insane selection. Also I have never seen a dead SW fish or coral there. Great prices and one of the few LFS I heard of that gives away freebies!

We need a nice upscale store in my area. There are quite a few within reasonable driving distance, but none I'd consider local to me...probably good for my wallet though. Haha!

I have 5 within 30mins driving. Spoiled.

Reef Keepers in Clayton, NC. There are 3 LFS within 20 minutes of my home, I will drive right past them to get to Reef Keepers, 40 min. away. Beautifully healthy fish and corals and extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Aquatic Collections here in Hayward Ca. I live just blocks from them. Super friendly and over all great store to buy from. I’m there at least 2-3 times a week

Not exactly local but Aquarium Depot and YourReef are my spots. An hour drive but at least they’re close to each other. Part of living in the sticks.

I have heard stories of midwest ranchers driving 3 hrs 1 way to the closest one.

Ocean State Aquatics (@OSA) is an amazing LFS. Unbelievable selection coral and fish. Their $35 "frags" are dang near mini colonies. They take care of their customers and the staff is unbelievably helpful and friendly. They are in Conventry, RI if you are ever in the area!

It's on the bucket list. I did KoR this spring, maybe next year.
