People who have seen them in person claim that that is how they actually look in person.
Really?? That's cool, I just am always suspicious when the frag plug and eggcrate are that crazy blue. If somethig that is suppose to be white isn't, then I pass on the coral, but nice to hear they look like that in person too.

I agree with the $30-$50 range unless its worth more to you. Which most are not. Atleast until you can propagate and get some return.hundreds is just too much. :-( there is plenty to get and look at that is cheaper and beautiful.
No hard set limit. However, I've learned the hard way not to drop too much on a tiny stick (they can take forever to do anything and can die easily). I've reached a point with my current tank that I've filled it up with just about everything I could want, so I'm going to stop purchasing for the most part (except for the rare occasions when something really spectacular that I don't already have comes up).

I put myself on a tank budget... I only get 100 a month for corals...
If I want something more than that right now, I will have it either put on hold (love my LFS for this) or just save up until I can buy it.

My most is a $100 but that's only because I just don't have it. If I made a few hundred k or more a year I guess I wouldn't have a limit. I'm sure what people spend reflects how much money they make. Some people can drop a grand like I drop a $20 it must be nice wish it was me

Used to spend a lot more b4 having a kid and buying a house losing all my coral to sandy few yrs ago made me lose my affinity for high end sticks now I stick to buying from other local hobbiest and Lfs sometimes frags Aussie sps for me I've gotten much better over yrs not buying crazy packs but I do say to my self like the OP if/when my tank settles in and I'm able to grow sps well ill order some nice stuff

My local farm says I'm not happy until I've gotten $100 worth. Hubby and I have an agreement, he doesn't ask what I spend on tanks and I don't ask what he spent on car parts... (We keep separate hobby funds...)

I didnt have a limit being how I was trying to stock my tank. Now that its pretty much stocked, my limit would be $100. I think my tank is at a point that I would only look for high ends. And thats only when I do decided to get back into buying corals.
