Is it a whelk ?Unsure if it's a pest but has a wierd shell

So after closer inspection of the first picture it may have eye stalks. If that's the case it's probably a conch.Based on the protruding tube I'd agree with @Mibu on possible conch but it could be a whelk. Some whelks are beneficial - nassarius etc - while some are predatory. Based on the lack of noticable eyes I'd lean more heavily towards whelk.

It is black and does not burry into the sand like my othersLooks like nassarious. Whelk will have a tail like structure and tube will have a pattern like tattoos
