To my suprise when I came home My purple tangs eye looked much better and he was actually reacting to me moving the algae magnet near him( which he had not been doing before), but i have not seen him eat yet, hopefully his reactions are a good sign.

That’s not HLLE,HLLE looks like dimpling all around the face and down the lateral line. That looks like a bacterial infection. Are you dosing antibiotics? Have you ever checked for flukes?

Right now I am dosing Kanaplex And Metroplex(I belive those are antibiotics?)And am considering raising the dosage? Is that advisable?

That is NOT good... agree, that is a very bad bacterial infection.

Do you have acriflavine? He needs a bath ASAP. Also, I know you were trying to track down Furan-2, any luck?

At this point, I think you need to get NFG if you want to save him.

None of the stores around me carry Furan 2 or Triple Sulfa:mad:, Do I have time to oreder it?

NFG is Nitrofurazone, Sulfathiazole Sodium, Methylene Blue and Sodium Chloride.

Triple Sulfa (or Sulfaplex) + Furan-2 would be a suitable substitution... but NFG is the better option if you can get it quickly.

I would keep it around 5ml per gallon, but if he hasn't had one in a few days I'd give him one now...

They can definitely impact it, it’s two fairly strong antibiotics.

But, the MB in NFG is what really does it.

Edit: and the only ones I could see it on are my clown and one of my damsels. And Pt had it too.
