Where are they now?

My LFS can get the ORA bellina and dustins deep water.not sure why it is hard to find where you are at but here in Florida they aren't too hard to come by.if the LFS doesn't have it in stock he will make sure to place it on his next ORA order.
If you can get a real deal dustins deepwater I know peps that will pay a premium for it. Saw another one sold recently as dd turned out to be a mariculture.

They still show Pearlberry on their site so I don't think it was "retired". At least not officially. My LFS still gets red planet direct from ora so I don't think they have a problem with that one. Never heard of purple pillow. But they also get something called Misty Purple direct from ora which is apparently an old type that's no longer on their site. Hard to know what's going on.

There's a bunch on their website that they no longer have. I also have the misty purple, its a bottebrush and very very light purple color, almost grey.

Yeah, I'll have to agree. I picked 5 frags and the shipping was over 140. I ship frags and I know it doesn't cost that much. I think they have a problem with the program that calculates the shipping cost. One frag is about right but I think they are doubling that for two frags (which is not correct). I think this is a new vendor that probably does not have an inventory and buys from someone else when they get an order. Send them a message and ask if the shipping is correct.

I can't really see how they would "lose" a coral that is of commercial importance. It's not like they don't exist anywhere else. I've "lost" corals that I really liked and I simply bought another one.

With all this speculation, has anybody tried contacting ORA directly to find out what happened to these corals? Just saying.

Also, saltwaterfish.com is right by ORA, would be worth giving them a call to see if they can get any of the ORA pieces you've been looking for. And their shipping is usually free for orders over $99.

I wouldn't order from saltwaterfish.com if my life depended on it!

If I was Dustin @ ORA, and I lost my Pearlberry, and Saltwaterfish was "right by", I would take a handfull of dollars and tiptoe across the street and pickup some brood stock.

You know 7 or so years ago when the pearlberry first came out, I ordered that and a few other ORA pieces from them, it was the middle of summer and they packaged the corals right on the ice packs, of course they didn't make it. They did this with replacement shipment too. So I decided to never order from them again or recommend them. Until a couple months ago a friend asked if I would go in an order from them and I agreed. Everything came in healthy and just as they described, so I will order from them again in the future.

I just ordered from them about two Weeks ago, everything was bagged in about 2ounces of water. My pulsing xenia was torn to shreds and that was blamed on FedEx even though nothing else in the same box had similar physical damage. two feather dusters were bagged together and the water was so disgusting I couldn't even see through it. customer service tried to argue that the xenia could of been alive because there was still tissue (it was complete Jello and shredded) **** near everything else died I told them to keep their BS in store credit. I've had amateur hobbyist package and ship their stuff better than that. I'm glad your shipments were ok but if by chance something does go wrong their customer service sucks so you're taking a risk. And I don't take risks with my money or live animals.

I don't know if you know this, but Xenia has a reputation for being a poor shipper, probably best to find that locally. And just so everybody knows the point of me suggesting SWF was not to promote them in anyway, I was just trying to help others who have posted on here an easy way to get the ORA corals they've been after.
