Where do you keep your dirty socks?

What do you guys do with your dirty socks while accumulating enough to wash? I keep mine in a bucket with water...not sure if that does anything helpful or not. LOL Just curious to see what other ideas might be out there.
I keep mine in a homedepot bucket with a tight seal in some saltwater. Everytime i used to let the socks dry out, they get very brown and crusty. And to tell you the truth, after cleaning, they stay a tint of brown. I use mesh socks, but ive observed this with both felt and mesh. So now i keep them in saltwater till i clean them. Also accumulate a bunch of pods and micro starfish lol

Quick rinse, then into a bucket with a tight fitting lid with about 3 inches of diluted bleach. Give a little shake then await the washer at the end of the week

What, no non sock people! [emoji2] lol

Get rid of the socks it was the best thing I ever did for my tank.

As soon as I remove it from the sump I rinse it with the garden hose then into a bucket of water with a little bleach.

I just throw mine in the utility sink next to the washer.

Why bother using saltwater vs fresh in the bucket? Are you trying to keep bacteria alive? If you wash, that will kill it anyways.

I do freshwater and some bleach to kill the smell.

Ps. Just got a new washer with a sanitize setting. Would that get too hot and melt the plastic ring on the sock?

About to find out... just got a new Samsung with the Sanitize setting and am running a load with a dozen socks as I type this. I'll let you know.

Got the maytag. Only tried with 3 so put it on short wash but changed the settings for hot water and steam rinse.

Im thinking of throwing a couple of old towels in to make it more quiet rather than the plastic banging in the drum while its rotating. .

I just toss them in a 5 gallon bucket by themselves(no water) in the fish room. I do rinse them pretty thoroughly with the water hose before I put them in there. When I'm down to my last 3 I wash them in a little bleach with an extra rinse cycle and air dry for 2 days.

Been doing it this way for several years.
