Thanks man but I've got a lot of work to do with my top down box. I'm not able to connect both the camera and the top down box to the tripod. If anyone knows of a fix, please chime in....I'm sure it's an easy fix, but I just can't figure it out. Anyway....

the first pic is the ATL Ultimate Stag and the second is actually the Aqua Delight. The color (on the AD) is way off and, of course, it's a bit washed out with the white sand behind it. The true colors are a deep shade of aqua with purplish polyps. Hopefully once I fix my equipment malfunction, I can get better pics with more accurate colors. I will say that the ATL Ultimate Stag actually looks pretty good (as far a representative color goes). It's an amazing piece!

Nice!! Wanna trade?

I'm glad to see that the Aqua Delight is still alive and kicking. It was my baby from over 12 years ago that I gave a frag of to Greg Hiller. Greg is the one who named it. I used to call it my "blue-green" acro as the colors just glowed when given high light.

This has been a very interesting read. I never got on the chalice band wagon and had mentioned to friends I lost of lot of money doing this as a business. Its is funny that many agree the chalices craze was baised on paramid scemes and greed. Until recently I started collecting watermelons and others for colorthat is hard to replicate in a mixed reef. Honestly I just collected more sticks the last few years that I dont know what to do with. My frags are now mini colonies. Someday I will upgrade my 150 gallon SPS tank to a 200 to 225ish and really let things go wild. I just need a lilttle more time to get things where ups to hmm my standards

So true Richard. The chalices are cool for color deviation, but SPS make a tank. Some may take this the wrong way, but I laugh everytime I see a hobbyist with a "display tank" with egg crate and chalices with a couple other random pieces. I heart SPS

Egg crate is the new live rock, Mark. Get with the program

I know Peter. I guess I'm just too old school as I don't get the egg crate, small tiny frags for redonkulous skrills and the oversaturation in photos :xd:

Egg crate and a bunch of tiny frags? We called that a frag tank, back in the day ;)

Has been added to my "most wanted sps" list...top 5 canidate:)

Yes, it is nice. ATL's website shows a gorgeous colony with a deep purple (almost a GARF bonsai purple). Mine has a lighter shade of purple (think 20K or 30K Lokani) but the tips are this green for sure - no enhancement at all here. If it looks half as good as the colony shot on ATL's site, I will be a happy man. Took a LONG time to take off but it's growing well now. : )

I have numerous tanks to support my addiction, but my favorite is me SPS tank. I couldn't afford the chalice trend (bought a few, but...). My area of the country is nearly devoid of SPS lovers, though. I know one die hard down here (and he has some awesome looking pieces) and several who are in the early stages of a mini obsession, but not like it was in Nashville. I've tried selling SPS at frag swaps, but don't generally do all that well. Zoas and acans have been bread and butter at swaps for me. They grow slower for me than my SPS, though... Haven't figured that one out yet;).

Nice! Is that a baby Hawkins in pic #1?
Im not too sure as the helper at the LFS had no clue on what he was selling and gave it to me for $20,same guy gave me that chalice in the other thread for $70:wink:I couldnt really capture the color with my blackberry:p but it has a teal/green color to it.....

Heres a nice one of my hawkins. I love it. Maximus, I will throw in a nice frag of aquadelight in your pack to get it back to its rightful owner. Heres a few close ups from today
