Hey guys , I’m looking to add a few more coral to my tank. Where should I order from ? I’m 2 hours from a shop so I’m thinking I may just order online. I don’t wanna get ripped off or receive diseased crappy product .. what is the best site ?

I see that you are in Alpena. Have you tried Great Lakes Coral in Petoskey, MI? His products and corals are great. I drive there from Traverse City, worth the trip. If you do go, make sure to check his hours as they are not typical store hours.

I like to order corals from different ebay vendors. They tend to have great prices and always healthy corals. My favorite is CoralExplorers.

I have. I love them. Zack and I think her name is Brianna. He got me started with some frags and clown fish :) And I will definitely go back there repeatedly lol but it is a 2 hour drive and sometimes that’s hard to squeeze in. Just exploring all options. For different times for convenience.

ARC, TCK and Cherry Corals are 3 of my favorites.

Are you in a rush? If no, then I would wait until the next @SBB Corals auction. I ordered a few pieces from their last auction and I am really stoked on what I got.
AquaSD has really clean tanks too.
But always dip just to be safe.

AReefCreation has pretty cool sales too.

depending on where you are maybe trying to find a local reefer group on FB. I’ve got meth some high end pieces for a fraction on what you would spend buying retail.

R2R marketplace has some solid deals too.

so from my experience if you’re bargain hunting Facebook is the best spot for deals. If you want to stick with online retail then wait for SBB’s next sale. Otherwise AquaSD is your next best option IMO.

If you are a newer a reefer I would actually recommend avoiding live sales for a while and deciding what corals you want specifically. Live sales run a bit on impulse urgency.

TSA, WWC, Tidal Gardens and Jason Fox are all very reputable vendors with a variety of corals. Many sponsors here as well to choose from.

Tidal Gardens, SBB and BattleCorals are all great vendors too!

Personally I find the prices of the vast majority of the big name sellers a bit ridiculous. With the live sales some of the prices become more reasonable but you have to enjoy playing the game and have fast fingers and fast internet. The truly good priced items sell real quick usually and then you left with $50 pest Pandora palythoa selling for $25 as a "sale.

I really like Battlecorals and they don't do live sales, but most holidays he does have a sale. That's a great source for sps especially if you willing to do a battlebox can get per frag cost pretty low.

I like the SBB Corals sales good also. Most of them is not like the others where you have to devote a whole day or weekend to monitoring a thread for the good deals it's just a sale and all goes live at once.

Can find a lot of good deals from individuals here in marketplace on R2R also.

Lazyscoralhouse also has good coral at fair prices in my opinion(they closed until Nov 4th).
