Where'd Everyone Go...? : (

Drunk snails can be fun to watch.I just hate wasting good booze on my tanks lol.I have never tried vodka dosing.I had thought about it a while back and when I done the reaserch there were so many pro's and con's it seemed to be very if'y thing to try for me.Being how my work sched. is now it would be hard for me to keep it up just right being 800 miles from the tank.
GatorBen,we dont really have alot of advice on the raising of the clown babies. The guy I bought that breeding pair actually had 9 survive by just going down into his sump when they hatched. He was doing some maint. one day and found them.Kinda cool if you ask me.We have always wanted to raise clown babies, especially with my Piccasso's always laying, but we just dont have time to do it right. There is a good book on clowns and their babies called Clownfishes by Joyce D. Wilkerson. Pluss there is always our own exspert Tomoko.

Now you know how I feel ........ My area used to have all my buddies on everynight chatting it up now all the old ones got out of the hobby and the few new guys dont talk much ..

Thats why I stalk the North Alabama group :)
Me too...startup some convos in BARF forum and I'll join in ;)

Yay! People are talking! : )

We need to plan another meetup soon, guys! Whether it's just a lunch in Huntsville or a big fancy meetup like last time, I think we will be due for another one soon!

No worries Jason, I wasn't sure if you guys had any info or not. I've read a lot but I value info from personal experience. I talked to Tomoko the other day and I'm now culturing phyto and Rotifers. She gave me a bunch of information on culturing and raising clowns. I think I have a pretty good understanding of how it works, but like everything else, I'll make my mistakes along the way.

Bam! Cyano everywhere

I just learned from a bunch of hobbysts in Japan that Dolabella seahare is a great cyanobacteria eater. It also eats dictyota, hair algae (probably derbesia) and even bryopsis. Years ago, when I had quite a infestation of golden dictyota, which can grow even in an ulta low nutrient tank, a Dolabella ate all of them within a week. The dictyota was completely erradicated and never came back. Here's a picture of Dolaballa.
