Which affordable wave maker should I get

As someone who owns Jebao, VorTech, Tunze and others I can say for a fact that Jebao and VorTech are not even playing the same ball game let alone in the same park.
I have multiple VorTech that are over 10 years old still in use today, still able to Be upgraded and work with newer apps and have never needed repairs. Meanwhile I have a box full of old Jebao parts that stopped working in under 6 months.

You get what you pay for.
But you know that a lot of vortech pump owners don’t even use the features that came with it. Simply just let it run at a set mode. I am grateful that there’s cheaper options.

Seen quite a lot of rust issues for a $360+ pumps. I guess plenty of people got jipped then for something that can rust. I could buy 4 jebao slw 30s for one mp40.
Sure a couple have had issues, but compared to Jebao show many people are still running the same Jebao pump over a decade later? willing to bet almost none, as they will have all failed....You can always find at least a couple bad products from anything mass produced. It’s about how many compared to how many produced and yea you can buy 3 pumps for the same cost, and you’ll have to as they break. how many people have issues with the Jebao? Waaaayyy more than have had issues with mp40.
It’s ok if you prefer cheaply made stuff, but don’t try and convince yourself or anyone else that your cheap china junk is somehow “better” than a tried and true industry standard.

If you like getting ripped off by ecotech be my guest. Price difference far outweighs the hype and measly 1year warranty. Besides this thread was about *affordable*, not overrated overpriced wavemaker.

I've had several different powerheads. Jebao is good if that's all you can spend right now, but they're cheap junk tbh. Also when I touched my controller (rw's) both were pretty hot.

I switched to tunze. Decent price & very dependable.

Show me on the doll where the pump touched you

I put a Current Eflux 6004 1050 gph on my 40 gallon, it is a great wave maker, I can not run it at 100%, the waves get too big. I do run it at 100% surge.
The one con is the cables, too many.
