Which anemone will be the best for me ??

Hi everyone I have a 75 gallon reef tank and I just wanted to know which anemone would be the least likely to move around and sting my coral.

if you're looking for an anemone that doesn't move or won't move and you have no experience, honestly a Nem is not for you. Chances are you're likely to get rid of it because it moved and stung some colored stick thing that somebody made up a name for and put a high price tag on and you'll be upset

I don’t have that many corals in my tank but I’m just really trying to find an anemone that has the least chance of moving. And i would just be scared with my corals but I would really love to have an anemone for my clowns to potentially host. Ive had a sebae anemone before and i never knew that when it I had bought it it was bleached and it just got worse and worse as time passed.

+1 nems will move even if they have been in the same spot for a year.

Id go big carpet for something that doesnt move as often imo

Keeping a sand dwellar like malu or LTA is usually easiest, at least they won't climb rocks stinging corals.

Next on my list for mixed reef would be magnifica, given a high perch they tend to stay put reaching up for light, but not for the novice so much.

Also just wanted to mention since in team carpet, since they dont move much theres not potential for stinging but just make sure nothing falls into it, they stay put most of the time

Rock flowers don't move, and maximini barely move...

Btas move initially but once it finds s happy spot, particularly a crevice or cave it can stick the foot into, then it will tend to stay unless you change something that affects flow and light...but then again, it's also not a guarantee.

Consider a H. malu. They are small, stay on the sand bed and does host Percula and Ocellaris fairly easy. One of the most under-rated anemone for small tanks.

Yes heteractis malu is a sebae along with heteractis aurora and heteractis crispa

I don't use common name much unless it is clear and part of the scientific name. Sebae is a common name for several species of host anemones one of which is Malu.
