Which fish

I think I've decided either a mimic tang of some form, or a bristle tooth tomini tang. Any input on these two? It says they should be fine with coral. And thanks for the input on the wrasse it was the same one just under a different name? But when you Google it that one comes up

Mimics get a little large for a 75g, a bristletooth tang would be fine.

Thalassoma wrasses can be quite nasty, particularly as they mature. Sticking with the reef safe wrasses is a safer bet.

Darn I sure was eyeballing that lemon peel mimic tang oh well I'm getting a tang for the algae purposes so gotta get one that will be comfortable for a while

Rabbit fish would get to large for a 75 gallon right? I've looked at them before and most of their numbers are 100+

On LiveAquaria (which I generally follow) they have One Spots as 70g but Lo/Bicolor/Magnificent at 120g. They used to all be 70g and I'm not sure what the thought behind upping the numbers was.

Idk either but I know a little over 15 years ago my grandma set up this 75gallon and was told a hippo tang would be perfectly fine now they say minimum of 180 gallons, so who knows maybe research has broadened our views on the fish now a days. but yes I did look into butterfly fish at the beginning when I was making a list of fish and quickly wrote them off untill upgrade when I seen the numbers, hopefully we'll get moved in the next year and I can get started on the 300 gallon I wanna build

I guess a better judgement would be full grown length? Is there a set guideline to a fishes length for a tank? So say a 10 inch fish is the maximum length for a 75 gal? (That's nothing I've read just thought of a random reasonable number)

Foxface get pretty big, but aren't nearly as active as comparably sized tangs. They will look big in a 75, but should be fine in one.

Hmmm y'all have peaked my interest now... more research to figure out which fish to get any problems with a foxface and inverts or corals?

Generally foxfaces will leave coral alone but a friend's decided it liked lps for some reason. Just like there have been a few tangs that have taken to eating coral (hippos usually ). I think it stems from not enough food to graze on.

Sounds like the same risk either way then now I just got to do some reading and decide which I like better lol that's why Ive always liked saltwater a lot more options just more research

Just remember that foxfaces are venomous. That is the only big difference I can think of.

Can you put a adequate foxface, and tang in the same 75 gallon or is this too many algae grazing fish as stated above? Or would I lose out on the size, and territory space alone?

Yes, it's possible, it's just two larger fish for a 75.

Awesome I'm do some math and figure out where I sit, which ever I get for the 75 I will probly end up putting off the other till I can upgrade and get 2 of everything

I would stick to a bristletooth (tomini, Kole, etc) in a 75g, as they stay smaller. That with a Foxface should work. I would go with a smaller Foxface and if you ever feel it is too big, I bet a LFS would trade you for a smaller one down the road. Mine have never been fast growers, unlike some Tangs I've had.

Do you think the two would be alright if I was to introduce one before the other instead of at the same time? Not to many lfs have either type of fish I'm looking at so i think I'm going to have to order one online, unless one of my lfs will order one for me but I'd rather just get it shipped to my home than to a lfs

I see no problem at all with introducing them at different times. I usually add one fish at a time. Your LFS should be able to order fish. It just depends on whether their supplier has them at any given time. Both are fairly common though.
