My reef is 60" long and I'm looking at the

Reefbreeders rpm (underpowed?)

Nero 5 (underpowered?)

Jaboa scp 120 with added 2yr warrenty (it's 11.5" long, side of my tank is exactly 11.5")

Mp40qd (expensive)
???

What do you guys recommend?

I've always used koralias but they only seem to last a couple of years before leaking voltage.

I do like the grow equipment, no need to buy overpriced stuff just because it says aquarium on it. I have a plant led on my fuge.

Butttttt I'm looking for a powerhead/wavemaker...

MP40 all the way.
Ya I keep going back to the mp40 but it's so overpriced... I do have some spare parts for one if I go that route though. I really like the idea of a gyre but because of my corner overflows I don't think I can fit an appropriately size one.

Sorry, somehow I’m on the wrong thread.

But I use the Jebao 120 and love it.
Although disappointed it would not WiFi with my other Jebao.
Pushes great water in my 180
I never measured the width, sounds to wide.
Paid $170 CDN off Amazon where’s RedSea Gyre was $450.......

you can save on mp40s by buying used, and if you are mechanically/electrically inclined can replace worn out bearings and control boards on broken ones, for further savings.

Would you be able to give me the exact measurements of it? It is listed at 11.5" and I have EXACTY 11.5" of space..

Ya I have briefly, to be honest I'm just not crazy about how they look
LOL wavemakers should do work and they should do it cheaply. My Tunze is on the side of the tank and works day in and day out. Which is more than I could say for my MP10s. Lest you think I hate EcoTech I currently have a M2 and L2 on my tank. You can see them in my build thread.

Fun fact had an MP10 and the dry side has this wierd plastic finish on it. Yah, it's gummy and kinda comes off. Serious if you pay that much for a power head it should be pretty too. I am done with powerheads anyway ... they suck, but if I have to have them I would go with Tunze again.

I like your philosophy but the tunze ain't exactly cheap (or good looking to me).. What are you doing instead of powerheads? Closed loop?

The Nero 5 is nuts. I bought mine about 3 days ago and have ZERO complaints. Granted I’m a AI guy so the interface on the app is well known to me. Highly recommend

Ye ... it is on my build thread. It seriously looks like the game Satisfactory. Sometimes I looked at that with my engineering eye and I cringe. :)

I used to have some koralias, but I got tired from their lack of controllability. So now, I have 2 MP40s and they are amazing. I use the app 2x a day to use feed mode. Plus, the wires are not in the tank and don’t create heat since the dry side is outside.

Ohhh I think I figured out why we seem to be crossing streams. :P

When I think of Tunze powerheads this is what I am thinking of.

What size tank are you using it on? I really like the look of the nero 5 but I'm thinking it's too small for my 5' long 112g tank

I run 2 6095's on the back wall and 1 6105 on each end.
They take up space and I could probably get away with 4 6095's but I bought 3 6105's used for $130.
The 6105's are over 10 years old and work like a champ.
I do have 2 new 6095's as backup but will probably run the larger 6105's for now as growth and flow is good.
Rocking about 9000gph in my 120.
