Which skimmer do you run

Warner marine mf251 Kobe on my 185. Only had it for about a week, but it is working way better than the one I had! I have a mrc ocean force on my 60g cube, but going to upgrade that hopefully in the next couple weeks to a Warner marine mf161. The 251 is hands down the nices skimmer I've ever owned!

Alpha300 on a 225, love it but it's huge.

Alpha 200 on a 150 gallon. I would buy again if the made a space saver go with that as it has a big footprint

MRC2 dual beckett injector with extra riser. Fantastic skimmer. Would I do it again? Probably not (energy consumption being the only drawback), but back when I bought it, there wasn't a great selection of NM skimmers on the market.

Bubble Magnus 180-EX. I love this skimmer.!!! Internal pump, small footprint, quiet, pulls nasty sludge. I'd buy it again in a heart beat. I replaced my ASM skimmer with it.

It's overkill for my tank, but I have excessive corals and fish. It can handle whatever I throw at it.

NW (needle wheel), not NM. R2R should leave the edit option on for a little longer

A DIY for a while now, "THE THING" grinds rocks :) by accident one time I threw in some denitrator rock in a refugium that floated to the skimmer, so I heard loud soundscomming from the skimmer, opened it up no problemo, its a monster. You can build one yourself easilly.

Octopus SRO 3000 on a 200 gal system. Love the Bubble Blaster pumps. Rock solid and low maintenance.

aquac ev240 on a 180 tall kinda finickey at first to dial in but an amazing skimmer just wish it wasnt so large has a huge footprint its 24" tall 14"wide 7"deep its a beast

I have a BM 3.5 and it pulls a Tea color skim out of my tank. I think most skimmers need a consistent water level and so does this skimmer. I do notice a decrease in production as time goes buy until I clean it and start over.

Anyone else find that their skimmer acts like this?

SWC MiniS Cone Skimmer on my 200DD. LOVE IT, except when there's a power outage or a breaker trips. It's a PAIN to restart!

SWC Extreme 200 on my 75. Complete overkill but it came with the tank. Again, LOVE IT, except for it's restarting issues.

SWC MiniHOT over my 40 Breeder. IMO, a better HOB skimmer isn't made! The ONLY downside of this skimmer is priming it and this is only a concern if it's removed from the water or if during a water change, water is drawn down below the skimmer's intake level. IF either of these occur, you'll need to reprime it, which is difficult, especially if you have large hands. There's an easy modification to fix this problem, that costs a few cents.
