Well I don't think I would call myself a reefer just yet as I have only begun the cycling process of my first biocube but maybe after I get a larger tank then maybe we can call me a reefer.. Lol I am sure there will be plenty of help needed in the coming months as this is all brand new to me (and still a little confusing).

go for what you like. nano is fine but it can crash faster and will not forgive mistakes easy as i bigger tank. a bigger tank consumes more money but is easier to keep up (until you are going totally crazy)
but also important: when you do mistakes that could crash a system, or just not yet totally into it - its easier to compansate in a small tank.

i am still happy that i did my mistakes like sump, overflow, unpatience, chemics, trying this and that ... in a smaller tank..

Thanks for the input... I do see myself going for a larger display tank in the near future even tho I am still waiting for my BioCube to cycle... LOL That's just my addiction to tanks talking tho LOL

A 90 is a good size to start with IMO, but at that size(90 -125) the equipment is similar in price. Stocking does get more costly the larger the tank though, so if you have the room and budget... Max out!!

if u were closer i'd sell u my 6 month old Deep Blue rimless 75.. Im out of room in just 6-7 months. Going 6' 180 rimless.. Dont be scared. What do u have room for, thats what i would purchase.

if this is your first setup. I would say a 40g breeder is a good size tank for beginner.
Poeple upgrade/downgrade tanks a lot in their first 2 years in this hobby.
So I think 40g should be good for beginner and soon you figure out what you want to grow then figure out from there.

I know someone that lives just a couple of blocks from where I live, he (65 years old) started his first salt water setup last month. After so many days and night googling, he realized that he needed to use RODI water instead of tab water. After four trips to the LFS to buy RODI water, he called it quit and got out of the hobby
