Whining Wednesday: tasks that suck!!!!

It is Wednesday, hump day, and your tank is not maintaining itself (completely). Whether it is a water change or a sponge bath, we have a task that needs done and we just hate doing it.
Water tests are my "whining Wednesday task."

What do you do that you get caught complaining about?

What would make it easier?

+2 Especially on the sides where the rocks are too close to the glass. Plus my sand bed is getting too crowded so it requires moving things to scrape down to the sandbed.

I'm trying to think about something that I don't enjoy doing but my tank is fairly automated. I used to dislike dosing. I guess testing the water. I test on a weekly basis and it can become a bit mundane.

Just took apart a 120 gal system that had been up for a little under 3 years.

1. Siphoning a sump dry
2. Cleaning out the back-overflow.
3. Scooping sand into 5+ buckets.
4. Cleaning large pumps.

That sorta falls under long-term maint, but it's still a hassle when there's not a lot of room to tear a tank down. Thankfully the new fishroom I'm about to build will make all this a heck of a lot easier.

Cleaning my intake pump. I have a HOB fuge and the pump is internal. Big PITA taking it off to clean and it gets pretty dang nasty-YUCK!!

Trying to get rid of aiptasia. Single most exhausting and irritating task I have.

Next worst would be water changes. It hurts because of the fibromyalgia. I need to purchase a little return pump I can drop in the bucket to send the new water up into my tank.
