White Bugs on Acopora

Ah nice. My LFS Vet just called and I am just waiting if it does goes through when the Vet puts in the order. Hopefully it goes through. If not im ordering Dr. G as my 2nd resort. Funny thing is the Vet's office is in the back near the saltwater section is and this is the first time dealing with these red bugs but the Vet is very understanding. It was just a walk in and no appointment.
Good thing i have been going to my LFS for about 10 years and they know me pretty well.

There was another Animal hospital down the street and they were 2 weeks out to make an appointment. I called them initially before my LFS (because of Covid they dont allow walk in, you have to call!) . That Animal Hospital receptionist was very rude (I can hear it from her tone) and she thinks I am crazy because its a coral and they also dont deal with fish lol.

That what all my local vets said as well. One wanted me to bring the fish in? I'll pay the dang co pay just give me the meds.

For what its worth, I've dipped just about everything in bayers if you want to get some temporary relief for them. I've had zero casualties that I could relate to the dip. It's my preferred dip because it has no affect on acropora, including color. Smoothies, millepora, tenuis, stags, everything in my tank that's not an invert has been dipped in bayers. Other dips I've tried things stress and sometimes lose color. Bayers things go polyps out in there. I've used it for years. I eye ball it now, stir and pour until it's a very light milk color. Let sit for 10 minutes and rinse in clean tank water.

I used interceptor for red bugs last year, I tried melafix in place of my bayers dip and....bingo, red bugs. Worked great, polyp extension was off the charts during treatment. I did lose my pod population and all hermit, shrimps that I could not catch. They made the first dose but by dose 2 they were dying off. After dose one, there as no sign of the red bugs. I feel like it did throw my system into a slight rut due to the pod die off but overall it was worth getting rid of the bugs.
