Getting better pix now. I have to go back out of town but i think my daughter can handle from here. Thanx again to the [HASHTAG]#reefsquad[/HASHTAG] for your help with this.

Sounds like the way my personal Dr. does it.

The next time I get hammered for diagnosing a fish disease without a skin scrape, scope ID, etc. I'm gonna remind the person that "real doctors" are diagnosing human patients nowadays using phone/video chat :p: https://welcome.mdlive.com/

Will do 25% wc tonite and put carbon back in filter. I believe I am supposed to give him a break for 2 days and then start another 4 day round. He is still active and no out of ordinary behavior. He might be permanant in qt if eye doesn't look better after time.

No break; do the WC and keep on dosing. ;) A fish will often require exposure to antibiotics for 10 consecutive days before you start to see signs of improvement.

If no improvement after 10 days, I would hit him with the kitchen sink: Furan-2, Kanaplex & Metroplex combined. This will achieve the widest possible spectrum of treatment. Remember, you're not just trying to save the one eye (which he can live without), but also prevent the infection from spreading to his other eye (which would mean a death sentence).

Poor guy didn't make it thru day 5. Could have been any number of things but I am looking at what can be learned from ordeal.
1. Qt on ready a must
2. All additions herafter will go thru qt regimen.
3. Post on R2R before spending 2 days googling.
Thanks again to the reef squad for all of your help.

Sorry for your loss :(
