White spot about to wipe my fish out

Well they will still have ich and parasites while there... You'll want to treat them somehow...

So essentially your display tank will be parasite free but your fish will bring the parasites with them, thus starting this all over again. These fish need to be kept in ich free environments which is statistically impossible at any lfs that shares water or is not always treated with effective levels of cp or copper for instance

They are going to treat them for me and by time I get them back my 6ft will be set up ready and QT my fish myself as well in my old tank before I put them in the 6ft, my only option at the moment

I wouldn't trust them, IMO.

I would assume upon arrival that they're all infected. Low levels of copper will make them look clean but when it's removed, parasites will take over. Thus it "hides" parasites

I am always wary of LFS advice. Saying that I will admit I do have one that I trust, but they are very reputable and I know that. Unless you know the people well and trust them, be careful.

And to reiterate what @3fordfamily is saying, the only QT you should trust is your own. I personally would consider the LFS QT a temporary arrangement.

Oh its definitely temporary but ive no choice with no QT I want my water levels to be right in QT before I put fish in but as I say when 6ft set up my old tank will be my QT and use the water from old tank I really have no other choice at the min but that being said I fully trust my lfs they've been really good to me and have got to know a couple of them quite well

Sorry about late reply, I've been having a nightmare on here I get notifications but the posts don't show for hours! My fish are in QT I lost one more my little blenny

my tank is fallow and I'm in process of setting up my own QT then will get them back from my Lfs and treat them myself once it's ready but I had to get them out. It was ich they had not velvet but a very severe case unfortunately

They didn't do too well unfortunately! I lost all fish bar my clowns n wrasse which really gutted me, I even thought about giving up! A lesson harshly learnt (QT everything you buy and RO dip your corals) I didn't fully understand the importance of QT but believe me I will never add a fish in my display tank again until it's been properly QT'd!

Hard and expensive mate, I used to look at people like they were idiots when they mentioned QT but not anymore now I'm taking on board n storing every bit of info I can

How do I post a video on here? Ive got 2 clowns and a wrasse in QT at min and my wrasse is really struggling. All my params are fine and ive not started treating with copper or any medicine yet but my wrasse is breathing really heavily and struggling to swim can anyone shed any light please? I have a vid but can't seem to upload it

If you're using youtube, you just get the video URL and paste that after clicking on the "media button" above where you type. It's in-between the image button & insert button... near the smiley faces.
