White spots on my bristletooth tang!

I apologize for the crappy photo quality, this guy is impossible to get a focused camera shot on, as he speeds around the tank. Fish is super active and eating like a pig, so I'm not really sure whats wrong but I noticed on his/her right side today, there is some white spots (one of which is medium sized). I have never dealt with a sickness in a reef tank and now I am super worried.

You may be able to get a better picture by making a video and then pulling a still from it.

The fish was perfectly fine in qt, been in the display for two weeks now.

Tried stills from a movie, but this guy just does not sit still. Idk if these pics are clear enough, but the white spots on the fish are visible.

Agreed that at least some of the spots are too big to just be Ich. it is possible they are bacteria infections or stress spots that some Tangs are prone to. I know you are trying, but a better picture would be very useful.

It looks like the eyes may be cloudy also?

Maybe switch to a video so we can observe better. They tend to go in focus for some of the shots too which will help us ID your ailment.

Pestered my father into letting me borrow his dslr, unfortunately he does not have a macro lens, so these are honestly the best and clearest shots I can get. I should note that these spots are only on the right side of the tang, the left side looks clean. @Brew12 @4FordFamily @Humblefish

Flukes are fairly clear in salt water and turn white in fresh water. So while it may have flukes, those won't show up as white dots.

I think Bios nailed it. From these pictures it looks like Ich with a bacteria infection. Very odd to only be on one side though.

Its not but that's the only way to make sure ich gets out of your system. Take all fish out and let your tank remain fishless for 76 days to make sure what ever dies from having no fish host. And treat your fish and hold in the tank for 76 days. sorry. no real easy way around it.

It was well in the qt and with stress ich come out
That's typical of ich
And every situation of stress ich will come out again
