My bet is on the sixline they are quite aggressive even towards much larger fish

it's possible but I have not seen him be a bully. To be honest, the only fish in the tank I have seen bully is the tang when the lawnmower blenny is eating off the lr.

Any places to look for treatment options for bacteria and ich? If I just remove the tang, is the rest of the tank safe?

No if you have ich it impacts all fish and they'll all need removed and treated, and everything henceforth.

Ich is a parasite that lives by feeding on fish. Fish can develop an immunity to it which limits its ability to reproduce. The problem is that a stressful even can remove a fishes immunity in as little as an hour. This will allow the parasite to thrive again. The best way to get it out of a DT is by starving it out. It can't feed on inverts or coral so once the fish are pulled it can't feed to reproduce. The longest documented lifecycle will starve out after 76 days.

An option, but not a great one, is to practice an Ich managed system. You can help build the natural immunity of fish by giving them great water conditions and high quality fresh/frozen food. The downside is that you will be best served avoiding the more free swimming fish such as Tangs and Angels since they are less likely to develop and maintain an immunity.

Since the spots are only on one side and too large to be a parasite, I'm thinking either this fish got scraped up in the rockwork or attacked by another fish (possibly by the sixline as @4FordFamily suggested.)

The problem now is his wounds are getting infected. If you can't QT, then the next best option would be to soak his food with Kanaplex (an antibiotic); but also use Seachem Focus to bind the medication to the food and prevent it from leaching out.

He eats what everyone else does, so I am assuming its safe to bind the meds to everyone's food?

Ich will show up on the skin and fins as salt like grains; see photo below:

i agree, that's not ich. Try the antibiotics but remember they are slow acting, so don't expect him to look better in just a couple days.

I do not know if it was stress spots but the tang is still alive and well as of today. Antibiotics were given via food.

Awesome! Good to know. I had spots on mine last night. Was alittle worried.Today they are completely gone.
