Who keeps their refugium light on 24/7...and why...???

I run mine at the same time as my dt.
Some people do it to help with ph swings.
Other reason you would want to run it 24/7 is bc of the algae you have
Some algae is a sexual and will seed it self when the lights are off.
If ur not running a sexual algae you don't need to have it on 24/7

I have caulerpa also in my refugium and turn on at night opposite of my DT tank. I have not had any trouble with it going sexual on me , but if it does I will try the lights on 24/7

Mine come on a hour before my main lights go off and turn off a hour and half after the main come back on. Total time on 14 hrs i have 2 fish loving in there with three Mangrove, Chaeto, and other Macro algaes growing well. I have very low Ph swings in my overall system from day to night.

no, LFS is still out. Still need to pick up some eventually.
I also run mine opposite my display to help with pH swings.
I run mine 24/7. Keep ph from swings and keep the algae growing. No reason to turn it off.

wait, maybe that is caulerpa, I don't know.
I know I have chaeto, some kind of red macroalgae that looks like chaeto, some sea lettuce (which hasn't done all that great), and a really dark green one that "tagged" along when I got the first batch that I hope is a good kind.
what is the sexual stage of caulerpa you mentioned??? I'm new to the 'fuge game.

Notice in this article how running the lights in the refugium when the display lights are off makes the pH much more steady. They do not have to or need to run 24/7 and its probably better for your macroalgaes if they are not on 24/7.

My fuge light is on a timer from 11pm to 6am. Chaeto/LR/2" SB 24/7 lighting just seems way unnatural and a total waste of energy 
And no real benefits.
