Who tests their water?

I test calcium every other day, and alk every 3 or 4 days. I test nitrates and phosphates every week or 2.

I do keep all of the basic test kits handy in case I ever do want to test for something.

Great video. I'm one of the ones that only tests when something is going wrong or when things are looking a bit off. Basically I test salinity every time I do a water change to be sure everything matches and is on point.

I test ALK and Ca about twice per week. I test nitrates once per week. I test salinity whenever I test anything. I test Mg once every great while, but it has always been OK.

I test salinity, nitrates, phosphates, calcium, magnesium and alkalinity every week.
Right now I am testing alk and nitrates daily as I have a number of changes to the way I maintain the tank recently and dialing things in.

I'm a lazy reefer but with 5 kids and working 70+ hrs a week I don't have much time to test water heck I don't even do water changes but after 18 years I have a decent idea how my tank is doing. I do dose additives and if I get a wild hair up my rear end and do test it's usually close to the same results as previous test. testing water can be good but new people in the hobby tend to chase numbers and I find stability is more important than a certain number

Alk weekly or whenever I mix up my kalk solution in my ATO.
Calcium about once a month or less
Magnesium about once ever two months.
Nitrate monthly
Phosphate about monthly
Salinity when I do water changes (about every six weeks)

I test calcium, magnesium, alkalinity, specific gravity, and nitrates 2-4 times per week. I test phosphates 1-2 times per week, depending on the situation. I also test K, Fe, and Iodine 1-2 times per month.

I sincerely hope your new post is indicative of a renewed interesting in reefkeeping :)

I test twice a week alk and salinity with hanna checker and refractometer respectively. Once a week for calc, mag with redsea. Once a week nitrate with nyos. Once a week phosphorus ulr with hanna. I have an apex ph probe on my apex.

Daily tests:
Alkalinity
Nitrate
Phosphate

Weekly tests:
Salinity
Magnesium

Monthly (maybe) tests:
Calcium once in awhile (since I dose 2-Part it always seems to stay where I left it last)
Potassium

Nitrate, calcium, alk, magnesium and phosphates, I've never tested PH as the room is well ventilated and I have no AC.

My Apex tracks PH, Salinity, and ORP daily. I check ALK and Calcium once a week. Nitrates and Phosphates about once a month.

I test the big three every Wed. ( Mg, Ca, Alk ) and again on the weekend with the addition of Nitrates and Phosphates. I also test the wc mix and adjust to the parameters of my tank.

No, I very seldom test anymore. I do weekly water changes to keep nitrates in control. I do test salinity if I feel I'm a little off of 1.025 . I have four tanks, all around 2 years old. They've always been stable as far as water parameters.
