I was planing on using it on my 30 inch tank until I upgrade to a 48 inch 120 gallon mixed sps dominant reef. Which then I would just add another fixture when the time comes . Which of the two would you recommend and do you mind my other question about the whats sorry for being a pain in the but.

I would reccomend the 32" fixture then, you could use it on the 48" tank in the future, instead of having to purchase another unit. the Controllable fixtures ahve a better case design, the controller, optics, and heatsinks (on the 16 and 32 models) that set them apart from the value fixtures.

i ordered the 16" value fixture.
it will be along side 2 no name brand units the same size, minus the reds and greens.
I'm really excited to see how it compares to the other units i have in intensity, and the way the different leds effect coral growth.

I don't see that ?, the 120watt units consume 120watts at full power, less when they are dimmed, same deal with the 200watt fixtures, but with 200watts.

I ordered a 24" last night! Can't wait to get it, I was able to see one in action at a local swap yesterday. The controller is easy to use, and setting a ramp up and down at 30 minute intervals is REALLY cool. There was a vendor there with a PAR meter, and the 16" fixture was hitting open air numbers in excess of 400 at about 24". (Non scientific I know.)

The look of the fixture is also MUCH better then the Value fixture I currently own.
