This is a two part thread. Part one is to see unlikely bedfellows in the tank; nems and torches touching, tangs cooperating, and the like.
Part two is to see potential strange bed fellows or problems waiting to happen.

I'll start with this question: goni or Rfa?

The rfa is mobile so if in fact it would lose it would move. They are pretty docile IME though.

Rfas dont really bother much, Now im sure they would toast a sps coral. But several of mine are touching zoas, no harm no foul to either. One of mine is touching a goni, and the goni seems it couldnt care less. The one LPS coral that I know for sure they dont get along with is galaxea, galaxea will toast an rfa. But then again nothing gets along with galaxea.

Galaxia will toast almost anything though.

That said, galaxia vs. hyndophora?

That's part of why I don't have either of them.
I have one small rainbow galaxea in the middle of my tank. Its more or less controlled by flow, and the only reason I even have the dang thing is because my wife loves it. But its tempered down as it has a torch coral above it, and the torch has stung it more than once, oops...shame if it bleached eventually...

I've almost gotten one for the same reason, but she's not a fan of the aggression.

Literally was 15 dollars at the carolina reef expo, and it was the only thing she wanted, and she did let me buy wayyyyyy more than I needed and I had a semi safe spot to put it. She wasnt happy about it attacking one of the RFAs we have, and I told her id put it in the fowlr tank and let the puffer eat it but she hasnt agreed to that method yet.

How long are the sweepers? If she asks again I may fold. I could find a spot too.

The RFA will win.
