Who'd win?

How long are the sweepers? If she asks again I may fold. I could find a spot too.
The longest Ive seen so far was about 5 inches. Only one long sweeper at a time that ive seen. Ive got it controlled for the most part by flow. So its not stinging anything or hasnt in a while anyway.

I know who won, can you guess?

This is anecdotal evidence at best, and probably just circumstance, but my rainbow galaxea does NOT like torch corals. As in, I placed a larger torch coral above it, and it has stung the galaxea with its sweepers as I stated above, and now the galaxea has its sweeper tentacle out wayyyyy less often now.

Learned it's lesson then? Can they learn?

LOL thats what I like to think. Im sure its just happenstance, but it has curbed some. I mean torches can be nasty, most of us just put them where they cant sting anything.
I also haven't seen anything from my torches. But yeah, they're where they can't harm or be harmed.

+1 to that, the only thing that touches my torches is my other torches. Theyre too darn expensive and Ive worked too hard to have them get zapped by a 15 dollar coral. I take that back, one of my porcelain crabs hosts my dragon soul torch, so he can touch em, but nothing else.

This is why its best to provide 3" spacing , and at times even with same group- Acan in particular, Rainbow can sting an enchinata as an example
Euphyllia have 3-4 inch sweepers and torch has the strongest sting in the group. Galaxea, bubble coral , ducans and others. They all have their own defense mechanisms
