Got a pic? I would bet it’s a grey belly and not a yellow belly. $55 is still a good price regardless of the belly color though.

Lights are off now but it’s a grey belly , they look the same to me regardless of belly color

Well to be fair I think it was a return from another reefer they didn’t want it so it was marked down

I’ve been lucky with the yellowbellies not being shy. My smaller one is right in there fighting for mysis with my achillies and powder blue tangs. The larger one is still not quite as bold but it’s only been a few weeks. Seems to be getting more and more confident every day. Still thin though. It’s only eating frozen and clams so far. Not eating pellets yet so it’s tougher to pack weight back on it.

Have you tried fresh clams cut open? Try putting a few in at the same time so your other fish won’t eat it all before the angel has time. Live brine sometimes gets them started too

All my Blue Belly Regals come from the Great Barrier Reef or Vanuatu,and not one has touched a clam or LPS

Great to hear it is eating pellets. I would remove those Zoas before he eats them too. LOL

Lol he doesn’t seem interested in any coral , not really concerned if he eats them though they were kind of a trial. My mag moved and stung them all and they seem to be melting away anyway.
