Why are my Bounce mushroom dying?

All other mushrooms I have had had died in my tank
The other bounce which is at the other extreme 4 feet apart started to curl and shrunk minutes before the other mushroom in pictured shrunk from 8" to 2" within 20 min or so. There is something that is affecting my mushrooms I los a jaw breaker last year and all the purple ones colony of 10 or so.

Did you ever leave the tank empty of mushrooms for a long period of time? I really would not rule out some unstudied disease that is spreading between them.

What 'pests' do you know of in your tank.

Could one of them be messing with the shrooms?

This is definitely a thing, and almost impossible to diagnose.

I've had there have been Ric's in my tank for years. After adding a specific Yuma, it brought in something that has killed every Ricordia in the system. Tank wide Cipro dosing helped but the problem came back after a month.

Coral diseases and microscopic predators, especially the ones we cannot or do not bother to see (with a microscope) are probably the killer in a lot of "my parameters are fine" cases where flow and light aren't extreme. There's much more than brown jelly, red bugs, and nudibranchs out there that we just don't know anything about at least not in the hobby.

Tropic Marin (used to?) have this product "pro coral organic".
"PRO-CORAL ORGANIC contains valuable proteins and minerals that stimulate the growth of leather corals, disk and crust anemone species".

Apparently it really increased the growth of softies. Whoever invented it clearly understood shrooms.

Maybe reach out to them and ask for their opinion?
People at tropic marin are generally very helpful if you drop an email.

Its perplexing and can't say for sure.
Can't say its the issue here but feel we narrowed it down to a cpl different things in a cpl different threads and just can't find the threads now!.
1 being coral warfare. In my specific case it was losing my entire hoard of rhodactis.
2 species/ sub species specific only bacterial infection wiping the entire lot out. Wish I could find the paper now

Whats wierd is entire species/sub species only shrooms can be eradicated somehow especially in a shroom only tank. Ive seen it happen to ricordia, yuma and personally in my experience rhodactis. All other species fine. I still can't keep rhodactis.

I have 3 of the original ~22 left. All three are bleached beyond recognition. One of the three was that INSANE full rainbow homie hookup.

I'm about to put all three, through a nem cipro schedule. Doing nothing isn't working

Sorry to hear bro I did lose my entire collection of collector bounces!
No medication or dips helped through it all. Hoping this isn't the same for you.

I'm going to be taking a lot of notes. We're all looking for the fix..

Just a small suggestion as something to consider... In your initial list of parameters, you list your alkalinity as 9.5 dkH, NO3 at 1 ppm and your PO4 as 0.0 ppm. This is a recipe for an issue.

Low PO4 can at least affect all zooxanthellate cnidarians. Without PO4 no growth with photosynthesis is possible. Scientific literature is speaking about a nitrogen deficit that is necessary for the proper functioning of coral – zooxanthellae mutualism. A nitrogen deficit needs a sufficient supply of phosphate. High alkalinity will enhance problems with low phosphate concentrations.

Again, another possibility to think about.

Was there a solution to this? Had experienced this before that all my collection shrooms melted but all other corals were fine.
