Why are my leathers all closing up at the same time?

I wouldn't be concerned until they start visibly deteriorating (melting, dying, etc...)

My leathers do this from time to time, and especially when I move the big rock they are on. That's an automatic sulking time for them

@Devan Patel can you confirm your concern is that both of your leathers are OK until a certain time of day. Then they close up, both at the same time.

They tend to flucuate 1 out of the 3 maybe be closed or all 3. I guess they are doing their thing but right now they are all closed. This all happened yesterday aswell but I took a picture at 7:37 yesterday so maybe they start to close up at 6:30 or so and stay closed. I will update when they open back up

IME leathers shrink, grow, extend polyps, multiply, bail “miniatures” and all with no rhyme nor reason that I’ve ever determined… Or to be more honest, I’ve never bothered to observe///

Actually I can’t recall ever loosing one that wasn’t attributed to something stupid on my behalf… hell devils fingers, et can multiply to pest proportions in some tanks….

Hate to suggest this but if you really need a piece of mind is perhaps a ICP and/or do a water change and let things just run their course from there

I’m going to see how it goes for a couple more days, I used it see it a lot but I just found it weird.

Also have you seen those free tests for things? Are they actually real or could they be some type of scam or something? Like the IOAOI pure resin or test strips. I need test strips anyways and volunteered to do it and I guess you just buy off Amazon and give your order number and PayPal to them. Is this real? Just want to make sure never seen this

“Free”?? ,,,, could be legit but Anymore I’ve replaced the 4 letter word “free” with the four letters “S-C-A-M” ….you would do well to run anytime you see that word…..

I mean I see a bunch of people doing it, not sure if it’s worth it. They pay pal you the money back after you provide them with your order number from Amazon. And I guess honestly if it doesn’t work I can always send it right back on Amazon

I've done it before. There is a vendor here that does it with new products. I guess it's for testing but I think it's also a way of buying reviews. Reviews are important on Amazon to keep the product from disappearing to the bottom of the search.

EDIT: the two times I've done it the money was received. I assume they use PayPal so Amazon has no knowledge of the refund. I have mixed feeling about the process. Wonder if anyone has received the refund to their PayPal then returned the item to Amazon for a double refund :thinking-face:
