Because someone will buy them :)

I think the prices are outrageous too. I paid $35 this weekend for 3 blue hornet polyps. They will most likely grow like wild fire and I'll get nothing in return, in the long run. :)

I have noticed the prices dropping on some of them lately.

The way I see it, they are cheap online and expensive at LFS(convenience). But your gonna pay $50 for overnight shipping...

My LFS sells rastas for $20 a head and I got mine for $6 a had shipping included!!!

Between ordering and going to LFS, i prefer to order. Only reason I bought my blue hornets locally, was because they seem rare online. Plus if i'm ordering online, I gotta get like 6 frags before I feel like the $50 shipping charge is worth it. That said, I am having a really hard time doing so. In my own little perfect dream world, I need SPS, LPS(torch) and Yellow jacket zoas in my shopping cart. Just, not many people can do all those things. *sigh*

Yea I've seen a big price drop on well known zoas in the past 6 to 8 months but I'm sure they will rise again
Thats because I sell them off so cheap! lol

Many of them melt just as well as they grow. So I'm sure that ends up keeping the price up. I don't know honestly every time I buy a zoa selling for $20 or $30 pp by the time it grows enough to sell some off the price has dropped to $5 pp so I don't really see it staying up for very long.

You can Frag them and Sell Them and Get Return.

I almost thought i'd need a second mortgage to pay for some nice ones -__-

Which Ones are you referring to?

How much are they?

Yes, the newest ones to the Hobby will be Expensive as they are in Short Supply Since they are New but will Drop in Price as more people get them.

There are a million different types of Zoanthids and a ton that are Beautiful and Affordable.

If you are Focused on "The Latest and Greatest" they will be alot.

Instead focus on the "Oldies but Goodies"

That is My Best Advice :)

Can't beat Frag Swaps!
