Yeah, those are sweet also! I had this conversation with my LFS owner just yesterday. He has a lot of nice looking soft corals in his store that have been there for some time. People won't buy them because they are, as you say, considered "beginner corals." I think people get a little carried away on the newest fashionable high end corals and forget there are a lot of nice - inexpensive corals out there that will look great in their reef. To me, they make the reef. The movement in the flow is mesmerizing at times. I had some huge heads of pom pom xenia in my old tank that I loved to just stare at as they pulsed and swayed in the strong current. I never had trouble controlling it. When it crowded other corals, I just took a bunch of frags to the LFS and got me some other corals in exchange. Here is some of that colony.

Here is another shot of the green nepthea under only VHO lighting, with actinic (2 super actinics & 2 50/50 bulbs). The tank also had 2 250watt MHs, but they were not on in this pic. The color was not quite as green with the halides on. The coral was that green and was not dyed. The color is not enhanced in the pic. I grew it from a 1" frag. I have another one that is similar, but the color is just not as intense as this one that I had.

The first one too.

I'm not much of a softy fan, but I like that last pic a LOT.
That coral has a greenish tint. That one was in my 75 that I no longer have, but I have another one pretty much just like it. The main color of the stalk is a pinkish tan, but with a green hue to it under actinic light. The polyps are mostly brown in color when closer together, but take on a lighter color when opened up and have a bit of the green color when it is opend up. That is pretty much the way it looks in the tank. The bottom pic that you like, the polyps are really a bit greener than you see there. I always had trouble getting a really good pic of that coral. That is te best one I have though.

now thats what i talking about guys those are great realy cool i will post some of mine
