Why only 30 days of copper?

Here is a thread showing eradication vs. Management

Within this thread there are more links you can get deeper if you choose.
Thank you for the help

Question, why do people say 30 days of copper is suffice when you have to wait 72 day minimum for a fallow period.

There are some confusing posts in your thread.

For your original question:
The treatment period for a fish and the fallow period for a tank are two different things. The fallow period is 72+ days because you are waiting for all the cysts in the tank to hatch, not find a host, and then die off. The treatment period for a fish is much shorter, because you don't necessarily have to be concerned about the cysts. You are waiting for the feeding stage of ich to fall off the fish. This takes only a few days to a week or so. Ich cannot reinfect a fish in a QT with copper present.

So, you pull a fish with ich out of your display, you treat the fish (copper, CP, TTM, hypo). The fish is now ich free. This takes a little time, but no where near 72+ days. You are now simply waiting for the fallow period in the tank to reach 72+ days.

Does that make sense?

Here is good info right here.
