one thing i can give advice on is that maybe you should place a piece of acrylic between the tank and electrical outlet in the pic. splashing could get into the outlet box.. just a safety measure.

done! We are putting a piece of wood up between that will also be the mount for the controllers on the other side! :)
 
If you can rase the pipe up enough clearing the sock you could change it without moving the drop to the other fixture or turning off the return. That is how my old sump worked, it was a snap! I did have one of those gray ribbed flexible sump tubes entering the sump.

No way! I am in Pickerington. We used to live in Gahanna! What size tank do you have? I only know one other person in the area that is into the hobby! Would be nice to have a local to connect with!
 
I only have a 240 cube.
There are quite a few people nearby with some tanks. We have a local group that is semi-active.
We can connect anytime, thats what this hobby is about!

I would love to connect! Ill be making some trips up that way after Christmas! I would really like to see the place in new albany (reef something . . .) but I can't remember what it is called, and don't know where it is!
