watch and wait. test every few days, youve started the cycle. youll notice your ammonia drop to zero, nitrite to zero, then nitrate my drop but if its a high concentration you usually have do a water change to get it out. Personally ive set up three seperate tanks, used live rock and sand from the lfs, and some water from one of their tanks and all mine cycled in less than a week. however dont confuse a cycled tank with a stable and mature tank, this takes time. also, adding a sump is not out of the question, eshopps makes a great little nano overflow box that i am using on my 29g. youre basically starting a tank from scratch. takes a bit longer than adding mature bacterial colonies when using live rock and sand. dont get frustrated, or really dont let the frustration get to you. the end result is so worth it. hang in there bud.
