Would you dip a goniopora everyday to keep it stable?

Thanks for the detailed explanation. So, basically you dip both H2O2 and Coral RX daily.
H2O2 3% - do you dilute?
Coral RX - do you dilute?

How long for each dip, and for how many days?

Sorry to ask more questions. I've always assumed daily dips would do more harm than good and that is how I would have responded to your question. However, the fact you asked the question the way you did suggested to me that you had a "method to your madness".

Did you dip to kill something you saw on the frags, or did you dip solely because you observed the frags were deteriorating?

Sounds as if you have had some good experiences, but not enough for you to conclude daily dips have no risk.

You may be on to something, I hope you will document your experience .

I will continue this discussion but first I feel like showing why I hate everyone and everything in this hobby:

If you look in the comment section I am Nice Fish Tank in tank "refugium" is so stupid it makes me super super mad.

I stopped watching BRS videos a long time ago. Some of their earlier series were educational, but now they are mostly all sales pitches.
My first dip is the weakest I do 20% peroxide 80% tank water ~5 min. I use a toothbrush with 100% peroxide to brush the skeleton. At this point you are looking for algae and hitchhikers.

When you dip peroxide the bubbles sannitize. I should have done a better job preventing cross contamination and removing the old slime coat.

After I rinse in tank water I dip coral rx for two reasons: Irritate invertebrates and "Rx" it says: "Aids in the treatement of 'Rapid Tissue Necrosis, Slow Tissue Necrosis Bacterial Infections & more.'"

I have a dried sample of what I considered necrosis or bacterial infection:

I follow the instructions on the bottle or I do more than recommended. I stopped dipping coral rx when my experience told me to. I had 1 frag left so I might have just stopped caring.

I saved a torch that had slow tissue necrosis before. It was a 2 head colony with a head splitting and dying from slow tissue necrosis. I did peroxide to sanitize and remove dead tissue. I used coral Rx and I shook it so aggressively I was trying to kill the polyp by swirling it around. It removed enough flesh that it had a chance to live. It got killed by a single food pellet.

Back to the goni colony daily dips after the first day are a lot stronger because I considered this terminal. I lost 90% because I forgot to dip in the beginning.

Any infection I would consider terminal I dip when I wake up and go to sleep to keep my polyp "stable". These got 3% peroxide for 1 minute and normal coralrx dip 2x a day. That was until the new year since I'm not willing to dip 2x a day for another year. I did lower it to 1 time a day towards 2023.

Would you buy that goni frag for $15? I probably would.

Since I have a 100% goni success rate I bought a dead one for $20. This time I didn't already collect information ahead of time.

What’s wrong with in-tank refugiums? I’m genuinely wondering.

Sorry my head moves faster than my screen shotting and croping abilities please wait because I am also in the middle of making a new short and making shorts for youtube

Funny, this doesn’t show up in the video you linked.

Are you saying those dead corals you dipped in the video above came back to life ? Do you have before and after pictures ?

The short video with 7 polyps is the most recent video taken today. In this thread the first picture was the first taken today.
I bought a dying goniopora colony and I didn't dip it on the second or third day and lost 90%. It was a clear slime coat that melts goni flesh. I had to dip 2x a day to keep it stable. Fast forward a week and I forget to dip for a day. I lost a frag and I have 1 frag left. At this point I'm dipping everyday to keep it stable. I didn't dip on new years and I went from 9 polyps to 8. What would you do? Keep dipping it until you forget and it dies or leave it to survive by itself?

The white picture was taken directly after. I was trying to demonstrate an innate ability to predict the future. I didn't post it originally for theatrical purposes.

I am forever going to complain about this in tank refugium.

The polyps are still alive technically so I don't have a 66.6% win rate yet. I bought a dead one for more theatrical reasons and to not get 66.6%. I guess you can say I'm a little bit stitious.

@AV corals
I dipped one time but I didn't keep track of how long it took to die completely. It didn't melt as fast as the first colony but it didn't survive in the long term.

I have some new theories that I'll test when I get a chance. I think this was a good learning experience. I hope others picked up some information from my attempt at saving two goniopora colonies. They were all receding when I purchased them I think if I bought a perfectly healthy specimen it would have survived but that's not the point I'm trying to make.

Actually it seems like 1 polyp may have survived. I see a small florescent green dot. I will post an update picture if it grows big enough to be on camera.

Dipping a coral everyday would be very stressful to said coral and in my opinion not beneficial. I am not sure who told you this method but I've never heard of it to be honest. Repeated stress will absolutely slow the process of it healing or kill it entirely. Best of luck to you and the corals :)

Dont beat yourself up - You tried. As for multiple dippings - absolutely not as this type of coral stresses very easily and and has strict requirements. Goni is a coral that will challenge the most experienced hobbyist and can be great one day and wither the next. Goni are photosynthetic corals which obtain their nutritional needs from light for color and energy. Inadequate light will cause them to change color and even shrink. If there is a change in lighting you will have a basis for determining issue. If you introduced it under bright light- that will have had an impact. Additionally, water flow has a similar effect as too much flow will kill some of its cells and can start a reaction with others in the tank. Moderate to medium flow is a must to keep the tentacles swaying and keep debris off of them and deliver food in which must be fed regularly and adding aminos to the tank is a plus. Some good foods are chopped krill, mysis shrimp, phyto and zooplankton. Im not a fan of powdered plankton foods as they can raise phosphates quickly but they work well for goni and alveopora.
Assure no3 and po4 Not elevated. Also having some Manganese in the water helps them to reduce stress in general and important to have Mag at 1300-1350 to help stabilize CA and ALK level consumption

Here is mine under said conditions:
