Still scratching my head... Oh well.. Maybe mister HYDE will show up.. ;)

I don't know the whole story but you definitely shouldn't of taken your problem to the lounge! What were you thinking?

Oh well, whats done is done. You've been extremely helpful to many people over the years, hopefully that doesn't stop. R2R is lucky to have you in my opinion.

I took it to the lounge...

The way I understand it is just that I said poop/detritus in a different form... ($h!) I wasn't pointing my finger at anybody... I guess it hit a nerve though...

scratching my head... Ain't nothing but a power trip click I guess... So sad...
Yikes, hahaha..... don't ever question the almighty BrianD! InstaBan! :D

Just fyi though, to keep you out of trouble here... we have the same rules for naughty language and go by saying "if you wouldn't say it to your grandmother, don't say it here". ;)
Keep it family friendly is all.

And I agree... glad to have you here!

I haven't been around the last couple weeks but I popped in the Lounge this morning and dropped my jaw.

I really need to start spending more time here on R2R. I like a lot of the folks on RC but I'm not comfortable with the sometimes-hair-trigger atmosphere.

Wait wait....What? Really? BAH it's 2016, not 1955. If it's not aimed at someone as a derogatory, Who flippin' cares! Then again, this is why Trump is where he is right now....just sayin'.

Here, it is not that we can't handle it here or that we aren't mature enough, it's that we have children that frequent the forum and we want to foster an environment of professionalism and kindness. We are far more laid back here no doubt and far less pretentious haha!

That said if you know me in person I am extremely politically incorrect and sometimes I swear like a sailor! I keep it off of the net because I have no control over the audience or how it is received.

Yeah I hear and agree with you. just a point, the way you just replied to my comment shows how it's supposed to be done. Thanx for that =)

BTW: How do I delete that single word post I put in up there? It's not adding anything to this discussion.

Done.

Every individual has a different version of what justifies vulgarity. We strive to make R2R family friendly to readers of all ages. Its a dirty job but someone has got to do it. :p

R2R allows for hearty, hearty, borderline raucous debating all wording kept in line, to me that is perfect balance. people get mad at various posts/grievances often but it always seems to work out ok in time

ive always been impressed at how hands off R2R is regarding self moderation even in times of extreme duress such as does UV kill ich threads> the source of sleepless nites for many.
a key separating fact between communities is that you can flat out disagree with a mod here over matters of procedure, technique, impact, and you don't get banned, they know its part and parcel for writing things on the web-always a detractor somewhere. at RC there were some mods that disagreed with peroxide work, and are willing to ban over it, but that's ok we still help all their people over here who pm and we fully allow for RC thread links not a problem, how confident R2R admins must be in their shoes. we allow open source linking, as references, talk about non stymie of info (free knowledge)

seeing Mr. Brandon's elementary kids on here in strong presence always keeps me in check as grievances start to flow lol. some still do flow, but that's part of the community we just have to be civil as much as poss
