Wrasse help

I wouldn't get any type of angle fish ,, I guessing your talking about a type of Pygmy Angle fish ,, lots of people have them ,, but they can be mean, been there done that ,, if you have a larger fish to keep them in line that helps,, but you don't have any large fish in your tank ,, what kinda concerns me about your fish list is the lack of a Tang ,, I guess you really don't have to have one ,, I am old school I have just always had one of some sort for algae control ,, you could research that a bit more ,,

You could add any type of Flasher Wrasse ,, stay away from a 6 or 8 Line Flasher Wrasse though, those are the only Flasher Wrasses that I have heard of that can be a pain ,, you don't have any big fish in your tank ,, I would add a Fairy Wrasse of some sort ,, with the size of your tank ,, your not going to have a big fish list ,, try and make your Fairy Wrasse choice a looker fish ,, if its in the budget ,, a Lineaus Wrasse or a Flame Wrasse for example ,, if you want a Fairy Wrasse other than the two I just mentioned ,, ask for advice in the Wrasses section of the Fish section in the Forum ,, there are plenty that you don't want to get ,, read that part again :)

Another nice fish you could add is a Midas Blenny ,, its a nice fish with personality ,,

I have 6 Wrasses in my tank with a 7th coming Tuesday :) not sure how many I can put in my tank ,, I need to research my tanks fish holding capasity ,, I want as many Wrasses as I can have :)

I left something out that is most important ,, read that again :) if your tank doesn't have a top over it ,, you don't want to get a Wrasse ,, it will jump ,, have to have a top ,, you can make one or buy one ,, but you have to have it ,,

ah yeah my stocking list isnt done my tanks only been up about a month and a half so i was stocking slow to reduce stress
the tang and a foxface will be added for sure

do you think 3 of the more docile genus would be fine in a 75 community tank?

I really don't know what Wrasses fit into that category ,, I just go by the names we ,, non smart reefers :) call them ,, I research every Wrasse I buy ,, search the web ,, You Tube ,, I read what the Pros in the Wrasse section on R2R have to say about them ,, I read everything I can find on a fish before I buy it ,, what ever those Pros say is what I go by ,,

There is a wrasse I want ,, a Naoko's Fairy Wrasse ,, there are several reefers in the Forum that keep this Wrasse in their tanks with other Wrasses ,, but the Pros and others say ,, if you want this fish ,, it should be the only one in your tank ,, I go with that and don't buy it ,, if you have ever had to catch a fish out of tank with Live Rock in it ,, you will understand why its better to ,, just not put a questionable fish into your tank ,,

Anthais ,, very peaceful fish ,, keep a eye out for how big they can get ,, some are large ,, I would buy this fish from your LFS ,, jmo they aren't a hardy fish and don't ship well .. I bought 6 or 7 from a good online vendor ,, I am down to one ,, I was down to 2 after only a month in the tank ,,

I understand ,, new tank ,, want to have as wide of a verity of fish as you can have in your tank ,, you see others with 6, 7, or 8 Wrasses in their tanks for a reason ,, they are pretty fish ,, trouble free if you research what you buy ,, you can't go wrong by ,, skipping some of the fish you want and just buy Wrasses :)

Ah okay if I potentially wanted to add more Wrasse down the line when I size up which Wrasse would you recommend I start with to avoid aggression early on

Halichoeres Melanurus can be more aggressive to wrasses as they mature so if you do add one, make sure it's last. Also be aware that Halichoeres are usually good with corals but some can be invert munchers (ie snails, crabs. shrimp). Melanurus tend to be a bit worse in that department compared with others (ie Yellow, Red-Lined, H.Claudia Christmas Wrasse).
