Have you seen the chlorocephalus? It looks like the inverted rubricephalus.

I would pick up a leucoxanthus quite fast however my iridis wouldn’t be so happy about that. I miss my first specimen, she looked identical to yours but with a pinkish tint to her stomach.
Mine has a definite pinkish tint to the stomach, though it is shadowed out in most viewings under bright white lighting or is blocked by the white skin when I use camera flash in the photos. H. leucoxanthus is still one of my favorite wrasses.

Yes. If it ever becomes available to the hobby it would definitely make my list!

Leucurus looks like a cheap melanarus lol.

For what it's worth, I still prefer H. leucurus over H. melanurus... ;)
Agreed. What melanarus has going for it is how well the brilliance editor works on it. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

...and I think they have been more often available than the others mentioned based on what I've observed looking through online fish shops. That was my concern about setting my heart on H. leucurus and potentially not finding one available!

I do have to say, Leucurus beats Melanurus but… What if we throw a male Marginatus into the ring? ;)
I'm still part of team H. leucurus, though H. marginatus is nice as well!

It may just be because I’ve seen a male marginatus in person but I definitely have to say that wins. The green is an emerald green with hues of blue.

Well, you are entitled to your own opinion, no matter how wrong it is! :p
I might be the odd one out here, but I often prefer the juvenile/female wrasse colorations more than the terminal male colorations...

Maybe if you ever get to see a male leucurus in person you'll change your mind... until then you are wrong sir :p :face-with-tears-of-joy:

I'd have to say, though, that I would be glad to see either in person!
