what can I do? She always had a foggy film over her eye for months. Then today I see this.

She’s eating and swimming.

Ideas?

I saw a video where someone used what seemed like an insulin or subcutaneous syringe and drew the air out on a clown fish. The fish looked normal after the procedure.

I hope I won't have to take a syringe to it! ugh.

@Big G - thanks for that thread! Seems like theirs is bacterial if more than one fish has it. it's just in my wrasse, all my other fish has no issues. I will look into those meds too

I'm going to try to catch her to put her in QT. She's fast!

First I'd try dosing the tank with Epsom salt . . . easy, fast and you don't have to move/catch the fish. :D

From Humblefish's treatment guide:

Epsom Salt: Treats eye and other injuries. Popeye in one eye usually means injury, but popeye in both eyes usually denotes a bacterial infection requiring antibiotic treatment. Cloudy eye can be a bacterial infection or flukes.

How To Treat - 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of aquarium water. Repeat only once, if necessary. Use only “USP” grade Epsom salt.

Pros - Reef safe, as Epsom salt is just magnesium sulfate.

Cons/Side Effects - The effects of excessive sulfate in a reef aquarium are not fully known.

Walmart has been boycotted by me. I refuse to step a foot in there.

but I will find Epsom salt in my local drugstore

X2! I wish their underpaid and undervalued slaves would walk out long enough to shut them down forever. Their business practices are what is wrong with this country now.

I work with them at my job. I do holiday packaging.

In addition to how they treat their workers- what made me boycott them is they had me photoshop American flags off of American soilder Halloween costumes. To me that’s disrespectful to America and our troops.

So they're "fine" with the American soldier costume, but when the flag is on there they have a problem? Why even have the costume then. I feel the same way you do, pretty disrespectful, especially to our country.
Anyways, good luck with the fish, hopefully the salt works on him.
