Go to my thread(first link in signature) and look at the right side of the tank. Low flow, mid tank, and I have it under my gyre.

Afaik no change in any params I seriously in a the month tried it in every spot I feed it reef chili or reef roids every few days. Alk has been up a little bit but not over 11-11.5 I dunno what's up

@jsker that's a nice goni and well put together tank and sump totally jelly of your skills :-)

@Psiber_Syn thank you. I would say your Goni and the one I have are from the same colony. I feed @ReefFrenzy and oyster feast from Reef nutrition

@jsker
You get yours from wwc also? We may be goni brothers lol

I have been feeding oyster feast Also do you spot feed or broadcast feed and how often?

Yes I bought mine July 25th at one of the 24 hr autcions. Yes I think that we are goni brothers. That is why I chimed in thinking we have a coral from the same colony. Josh @WWC suggested the placement of the goni and Josh was spot on with placing in low flow, mid tank away from heavy flow.

I broadcast most of the time, about one a month I spot feed. I was talking to the lead biologist at Reef Nutrition. Chad gave me some advice using the product. Read the direction on the back of the bottle:). I was not cutting the oyster feast 1 part feast and 5 parts tank water or ro/di and the product was going to waist. Chad also suggested that the product lasts long then the 6 month day on the bottle, after the 6 month point smell the product and if it smell fine us it.

Did u touch the coral with your fingers? Goni use to b a coral people couldn't keep until. People found out the oil on your skin kills the coral

I try not to touch any corals usually use tweezers on the plug thanx for the info though :-)

@jsker thanx for the info going to take heed and move it under a powerhead mid level soon as I get home as for the oyster feast I normally spot feed it but mix it with reef roids or chili depending on which I use that day but will try mixing it regular and try that also thanx :-)

You are welcome, keep me post on my brother from the same colony:D

Will do :) just got home still closed moved it to about your same position will update

@jsker I have given it a few days in the new location but it just will not open. Its still pink so I'm guessing it's still alive had this happen to my galaxea also it still alive can see the crust and barely a little green tip from it but it will not extend like it used to just kinda happened out of nowhere

What may I ask are you feeding the tank, where are you Po4 and No3? It might need to eat. My Po2 run between .02 on a good day and .04. My N03's 5 to 8 and working on getting them lower.

Well I don't have that detailed of an answer on the levels I only have the Api tests for this and nitrate and they both barely react I feed mysis and frozen brine and thawed cooked shrimp almost daily not much mysis makes it past the pig yellow tang and anthia male so I rarely show any nitrate I do have a bag of phosguard I think it is and carbon in my sump bubbletrap I feed pellets daily but again none hardly make it to the bottom of the tank so it's not piling up to raise no3 or phos I'm about to check all params will update that in a few minutes @jsker

@jsker
Here's the tests
Ph 8.2-8.4
Phos maybe .25 at the most
Kh 12 doh
Nitrate maybe 5 ppm at the most
Cal 440-480
Mag 1400-1480

I have fuel,photo and fusion 2 part in a doser I feed zooplankton every three days normally mix reefroids,reefchili to spot feed every three days recently been adding the oysterfest to the roid/chili combo when I spot feed

Here's some tank specs also
125 6ft by 24in has 30 gal sump asm g2 skimmer bout a 12 or so inch refug section of the sump with charts and some red macro and Fiji mid and some rock I have 3 galaxy hydro Wi-Fi model 165w meds run at 50% white max for 2 hrs and 100% blue most of the day sched is from 9a.m. to 9pm for whites I have 1 rw15 jebao set about half on pulse and a 550 hydor at the other end there are dead spots cause I get some build-up of dust stuff on a few rocks cause the overflow is in the center of the tank but it keeps a standing wave at the top the tank stays about 77-78 degrees I use tap run through a small di unit for too off bout gallon a day which is why alk stays in the 11 to 12 dkh gonna get rodi eventually just still have another filter for the di unit I think that about covers it here's some fts

Looks like you are doing everything right. My only suggestion would be try to place the Goni over on the right side, on the rock about 3 inch away from the glass at the highest point. That is were I have both of mine at opposite sides of the tank. Very nice tank setup. I have one of the tyree Aeguituberulata monti also, nice growth. When I put my new lights in my monti I really started taking off.
