Wwc cherry red goni

BTW my LEDs are identical to your galaxy hydros, but mine don't have a name. I suppose the only difference between yours and mine would be the 90 degree lens or 120 degree lens.

Yes mine do have the 120 degree lenses
If I turn mine down I get tons of shadowing and the light barely lights the tank I dunno just keep swimming i think is the phrase lol

Maybe your eyes have acclimated? No gonna lie, my 15/45% looked dark at first but...

I know you posted one pick of the coral kinda open at night, have you checked late late in the evening to see if it's fully extended? Or even partially extended? I'd hate for you to waste your money on a "wwc" coral.

I've checked at 4 am and it's just barely open just like the pic it's been all over the tank different flow light etc in the months I've had it just don't seem to like it anywhere

It looked dark compared to my4 bulb 6ft vhos and it was not very bright imo

I gotcha. Yeah that bites. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Sometimes these things happen. :(

Did you ever figure this out? I have a pink Goni from WWC and it looks just like your soccer ball. Tried everywhere in the tank. Just started spot feeding with phytoplankton and see some slight improvements. But it's been a couple months since I've seen this thing open up.

Shoulda tagged me I would have answered quicker lol

Sadly no it never opened back up fully
I still see the pink colors in it but it don't open maybe one day good luck with yours too :-)

Too bad. I was really psyched about this one and it's the most expensive frag I have. I'll let you know if the phyto works.

So I'm seeing improvement. I had a Dino problem that I probably had for a while but one day it got out of control to the point that it was noticeable and I had some snails and a yellow tang die. I went on a Dr. Tim's Refresh and Waste Away program and raised my Alk to 12. Either one of these or both got this Goni to turn around and I saw a growth spurt on most of my corals.

I'll update you if it ever makes a full recovery but I thought I'd share what I've learned in case it's helpful.
