You left out 3of the 3 most important parameters in your water tests... Ca, Alk & Mg....
Usually after a tank cycles you don't need to test for nitrites...

Xenia loves dirty water.. what are your nitrates measuring? Also, what type of flow?

Understood but unless he plans on keeping only Xenia he needs to test for them as well..

Darn tootin.
The only times I've had friends lose Xenia is in nutrient poor tanks. This year playing with my nutrients and flow too I've watched them get tall and fat. Thin and long And Fat and stumpy.
Ime Flow makes em small it seems and food makes em fat. Like dark beer does to me.

How are you applying it to your system? Reactors or in a bag in your sump?

Here's my Xenia I'm running detectable Po higher NO(algae) high light med flow.
In may at .25 Po these stalks were three times the size under the same light same flow.

If your worried about your algae now is the time to scrape the livin heck out of get it out of the system and let the coral become the competition because the nutrients are so low. IMO. Kill it while it's weak. The higher life forms should be ok and they eat more faster.
Right now your probably stripping the WC of available Po for the corals as well as the algae.

That was a different experiment.
I'm not gonna pluck em I'm gonna use the shop vac.

Actually that's the glass I don't scrape often to make sure sandals eat.
But I am Gonn use the shop vac. Canister with a hose.
