I’ve bought xenia twice and it slowly withers and dies

Cal 420
Mag 1200
Alk 7

I have kenya tree anthelia birdsnest pocci gsp clove polyps digi

Tank has been up since last April

I run zero nitrates on any test kit and xenia grows like a weed.

You can find xenia posts all over the place. Some tanks it will not grow. I had such a tank in the 2000's...

Your best bet, trust me, just find a reasonable place to be with parameters, alk, etc, feed the fish well, and keep things stable. It will grow. It melts when changes occur. ... just saying...
One other question, I know there’s different types of Xenia do you know any other kinds?

Also I’m 24 and I have been doing this since I was 11 plus I am in a power chair so I’m forced to do this hobby differently than most people. I’m a very easygoing person and you seem very friendly so that’s why I wanted to explain myself haha. Even shoot saltwater 20 feet up into the air out of a brute trash can? My parents weren’t very happy
I have a really bad back injury, so I can at least understand some of your pain. I had to hire a service to help me which I hate to admit I had to do. It's humiliating for sure.

I have not shot water that far, but I have done some stupid stuff for sure. Right now, I am drinking a few beers to deaden the old back before I do some aquascaping. Sad, but true :(

I am about to put a 6" purple tang in a 80g so I assure you the tank police comment was tongue in cheek.

One time I was leaning down to pick something up and I fell out of my chair and landed in such a way I was doing a handstand in a 10g on the floor... luckily it was empty otherwise I would have drowned.

Why is it humiliating for anyone to have a hurdle to overcome /adapt to nowadays? Difficult I can, actually can't truly imagine.... humiliation? Not to me on outside looking in....respect, treating each other as equals and listening.....

Until recently I was a strapping young lad haha. Like most people, I do not want to admit that I need help.

And we're happy you righted yourself, otherwise we wouldn't be having this Xenia discussion :)
They are one of my favorite corals purely because they are so active with the push/pull water flow. It's amazing to watch imo. Some despise them because they tend to spread rapidly in some cases, I love mine....I couldn't imagine my tank without them to be honest.

Oh I have cerebral palsy so I was born this way... sure I have more difficulties than most people but that just makes the victories so much sweeter and it’s only humiliating when people don’t even try to understand how different life must be.

I cannot understand. I haven't lived it. But I do want to listen, and learn. Best to you and this Xenia challenge.... it's odd some corals just don't hang in. I too have Kenya tree and they explode....I have been lucky that I have just enough nutrients for Xenia to survive. Hang on let's see if I can get one before complete dark of Xenia and Kenya....
Kenya is withering away for the night as usual lol....will perk up tomorrow.
