if I can chime in here.... I'm local and I was the first to comment on the thread that I PM;d him so......
 
Because you need to close your dispute to do so smart guy as soon as that is done I can take care of it but right now the PayPal account doesn’t have the funds to send you because of your premature dispute
 
so what you're saying is you need me to close the dispute without having either my money back or the item.
 
Ok what I am saying is that PayPal has your $ as it’s not in my account to refund you. I have spent time on the phone wasting my day off because of your premature actions. I have handled Shawn’s situation but your dispute makes it impossible for me to give you something that PayPal has. I asked you to handle this via pm as I have pm’d you but since you want to continue I’m game I’m not the one in the wrong here.
 
I think you are pretty clearly the one in the wrong here, and now you are asking me to close a dispute, my only protection in this transaction, so the money goes back to you. The dispute process is built into Paypal to be resolved before closing.
 
Ok you obviously just don’t know when or able to admit that you were wrong about this conspiracy to rip someone off for $288? Or something around there for a expensive light and even less after shipping let me use my personal funds and time to clear this situation up with you as your co conspirator was already refunded and you just can’t understand that I didn’t need your $ and that his was never accepted which was why he was refunded. Everything your clinging onto is just making a mess out of a completely fixable situation. Make sure you put as much effort into relaying that I wasted my time taking care of this to fix this situation since
 
I'll make it easier for you. Here is Paypals exact wording on how to issue a refund to a dispute without asking for it to be closed before resolved:

How do I issue a refund for a dispute?
Here’s how:
  1. Go to the Resolution Center.
  2. Select Open Cases and find the transaction.
  3. Click the Case ID in the Case column.
  4. Click Issue a full refund on the case details page.
You can issue a refund within 180 days of receiving a payment. Issuing a full refund automatically closes a dispute.

Please note that the case must be in the dispute phase or waiting for the seller's response to complete this action. If it is under review, you must contact PayPal to take this action.
 
After half a day on the phone which the first one said you needed to close the dispute I got it fixed no thanks to your post but you could have just as easily took as much effort into turning this into sh1t show as making this situation easier. Please close this thread. I will sell it local or ask for more for shipping and fees now that I have had the chance to waste so much time on this
 
lol, I could see the process the claim went through and it was exactly as I had posted, about 3 mins after I posted the info. So glad that I was "no help". I found the info in 2 mins using the help and search function...I'm quite sure you didn't spend half the day on the phone with paypal for that.

I didn't put any effort into turning it into a "sh1t show". I opened a dispute when a seller accepted multiple payments and was unresponsive for more than 24 hours. I then refused to close the dispute without a refund or the item, as the dispute was my protection in the transaction. I also tried to make things right in asking you to send the light to @Shawn M since he was the first to contact you and had paid. You were the one that handled this situation poorly, so don't blame others.
 
Ok never accepted any payment but yours but your lies make you feel better about acting foolishly. You were not the one that tried to communicate with me you use someone else’s attempts as your own your a horrible buyer and I hope nobody else has to deal with that crap. Next time talk to the person you’ve done business with you paid for a item on Wednesday and opened a dispute on Thursday without even talking to me lol. Obviously there were no ill intentions since you both have your $ and nobody in their right mind would go through the soap opera drama you 2 have inflicted over $280 for $600+ light. Shawn was the first to contact me but didn’t pay until after you. If I waited for the first person to say they wanted something I would have never sold one item. Go back to Reef Central with your BS cause your horrible here!
 
You never thought to check your for sale thread, where you were even tagged in a post asking for clarification...then you put a "lol" after that? wow...and you call me a terrible buyer. I paid you within 5 mins of receiving your paypal information, then never heard anything from you even confirming that you got the payment after I said "payment sent". Shawn asks when he should expect to receive the item which threw red flags. We gave you a day to clear up the situation and got nothing from you, so yes I opened a paypal dispute so I could get my money back. I've bought and sold at least 50 items on this site, RC, and nano reef...never had to deal with anyone near as rude and incompetent as you.
