????? Yellow tang bleeding?

Just woke up and saw all these posts, you folks have been busy!

It isn't Uronema, and it may just be erythema from a stress reaction. It could also be a bacterial infection, but the onset seems pretty quick for that (unless the early symptoms were missed).

I would prepare a treatment tank and acquire a good broad spectrum, gram negative antibiotic, and be ready to move/treat. In the meantime, you can treat with Focus + Kanaplex.

It will go away on its own in my opinion.
I had one of my yellows with this same condition in QT. (got it while in QT.)
I thought it may of been a medication related issue. Treatment was completed.
Put him back in his DT. It was completely gone the next day. If it is stress related, I wouldn't give it more stress by moving him. As long as he is eating and acting okay. I would give him more time before any guess work medications are used.

Guys I can’t tell if my tang looks worse, he’s breathing quiet fast now???, everyone else is breathing normally and show no signs of any issues

I had multiple people say just wait for a while - I had a look at LFS they didn’t have any of the medication mentioned above. Will try purchase some on Amazon. But not sure when it will come by

Its an bacterial infection. He needs antibiotics or itll get worse. Use some Furan 2 ehich treats for gram positive and negative bacteria if you have it. Ive had this on my yellow tang before. Seems to happen with them more often than others.

1000% positive its a bacterial infection

Not uncommon with yellow tangs unfortunately. My guess is septicemia brought on by a bacterial infection. By the time you start to see that subcutaneous bleeding it's probably too late. Needs antibiotics fast.

I cannot find any antibiotics that are available in the UK? My LFS literally had nothing, I’ve checked for kanaplex furan-2 don’t know what else to do

Did abit of research will purchase API EM erythomycin- it says it treats for red spots - some form of antibacterial - and it’s available in the UK . Will let you know of the results

Never mind I lied it’s not available in the UK there’s no antibiotics available here???? Everything needs to be shipped from US and says estimated delivery 26th October ???? Surely I can’t wait that long?

Why don't you check with any local reefers.

How do I reach out to them I don’t know anyone else into reefing :( by the way my sister is a pharmacists is there antibiotics she can get that will be ok for aquarium use?

Diet and water quality plays a big part with this
What are you feeding it? Add vitamin to its food . Feed at minimum:
Spirulina brine shrimp
Mysis shrimp
LRS herbivore diet
Small plankton
Nori seaweed basted with garlic extract
Formula 2 flake and frozen

I feed it everything except the planktons and brine shrimps

Guys someone mentioned to try waterlife myaxin - it’s available in the UK - and treats bacterial infections I think that is my best bet currently

My yellow tang gets these whenever I miss a week or two of feeding seaweed as I usually feed masstick as my herbivore food. I feed seaweed at least once a week. Feed more seaweed. I get this too but since I am going to pull my yellow tang soon I guess it will be on its way to someone else soon anyway.
