Have you tested for ammonia?how are you testing ammonia? Did you cycle the tank? If not your best bet is to do a large WC and run out and get a bottle of Bio Spira or Dr Tim’s.
Does he have any spots or marks on him? Any pics?

I was told when you use nutri-seawater you need to just wait 4-5 days then add fish salinity is good. and since it’s synthetic water is it safe to use biospira?

can I use this and add this to Nutri sea water?
yes i recommend its' use.

How long has the tank been set up? It looks very new, I'd recommend an ammonia alert badge by seachem. Biospira will help if ammonia is the issue.

I don't see any obvious ailments from the yellow tang's appearance.

so i can use the marine conditioner or should i get bio spira?

This is what you want, it’s is a bottle of nitrifying bacteria that will break down ammonia. Can you test for ammonia? I suggest you do a large water change and get this stuff you need to test ammonia and let us know what it is

No. The people at the shop told me Nutri sea water is instant and you can add fish right away. i’m guessing this is not true?

So now i have to do a water change and add bio spira correct?

You said you're new, have you done research? Doesn't matter what water you use, you still need to cycle your tank. +1 with what Frtdrmrose7 said.
yes i have done research and i thought with nutri sea water you can instantly put fish in right away even though i waited 5 days.

Yes, do the WC now I would say at least 50% and make sure it’s temp matched as not to shock the fish. Nutri sea water may let you put a fish in but you still need colonies of nitrifying bacteria to deal with waste otherwise it converts to ammonia and will kill quickly.
When you get the Bio Spira soak a filter sponge in it and put it all into the tank. Go easy on feeding also.

You can also run out and get some of this. This is just a bandaid but will help until your WC is done and your biospira shows up.
