So I ordered about 10 lbs of stax rocks and a new sicce pump from a very reputable online vendor. Guaranteed 2-day ship and all that. Ordered Thursday should be delivered today right? Tracking the packing today delivery was supposed to be scheduled for 3pm. At 4pm the delivery time got pushed back to 9pm tonight, no biggy. Now 930pm check the status of my package on UPS and all the tracking info is gone. I really do not mind waiting to receive this package as I know whats going on nowadays but I'm going to bet more time "in transit" is just going to lead to me opening a box of 10lbs of rubble which wont be covered by the company I purchased it from. I have ordered other items the past 3 weeks using USPS and FEDEX and never had any delays. Ordered 1 package with UPS and this happens..Great

Took me almost 4 weeks to get my new ballast and some misc. stuff & it was the next state over but mine was
sent USPS.

Crap that sucks I could not imagine, like I said i really don't mind waiting a week or whatever, but since it has more "fragile" contents it just really sucks, I know what to expect when opening this box and not looking forward to it

Guess you guys dont realize were ina pandemic and people are ordering more stuff online because half the stores are closed.

Delays will happen.

Also keep in mind UPS/FedEx have suspended their guaranteed, so nothing is really guaranteed at the moment.

I saw a video the other where an online seller had to tell people you cannot order at 9pm, use next day delivery, and expect the package before 4pm the next day.

It is a box of rocks, chill dude.

They all screw up, every day, just normal people.

I'm a UPS driver so I think I can help answer this. Because of the COVID-19 scare, we have been SWAMPED. We are doing more stops/deliveries then we do during Christmas time. I know it sucks waiting because I'm in the same boat some days. But it's really out of everyone's control. I chose not to work right now because my family is more important than money, but so are a lot of UPS drivers. So most UPS centers are very short on every type of worker (except managment..hehe). I can't explain every screw-up, but you have to see the bigger picture right now. Hell, we are all lucky people are choosing to work so we actually get ANYTHING.

As for your package never showing up that late it doesn't seem right to tease you like that, but what happened was the system forecasted you to get up, but whatever mistake happened (probably loaded on the wrong truck) no other driver wanted to go back out that late and probably just wanted to go home.

That's kind of what happens when you give people an extra 600 dollars a week and tell them not to go to work. You've got millions of people sitting around at home with nothing to do besides spending their winnings.

Thing is nobody is giving us nothing if we chose not to work. First, it's illegal to force people to work during this. Second, my family is worth more than a box of rocks. Third, even if I did want to work I still pay into social security every week, I'm entitled to that money, it's mine. Fourth, People sitting at home or starting a hobby, spending time with each other isn't a bad thing, if it is, that's an entirely different issue.

I'm a UPS driver also and I know that you the ordered on Thursday. Thursday doesn't count for delivery days so Friday is one day Monday is 2 days the only way you would get it Saturday is if you had Saturday delivery at least in my area. I know some states have gone to Saturday delivery but normally that's an extra fee. I hope this helps even though you didn't get your package

Saturdays are a normal workday in my center. We have M-F drivers and T-S drivers. Saturdays are strange though, it's hit or miss if you get a ground package (usually air), depends how each center does it, and every Saturday is run differently.

Vinman is correct for most of my shipping. Saturday doesn’t count as a business day. In saying that I ordered a package on Monday from California and even with free shipping I had it on Thursday. Ordered a pair of work boots on Thursday and Friday morning at 9 am they where at my shop and that was free shipping. Also ordered Electical Breakers last week and four came out of Oklahoma and five out of Youngstown and received both on Friday which was ahead of schedule. In some cases I think Ups and FedEx are getting faster

This is a sign of the times and will pass. People have been ordering online at a record pace during the pandemic. That leaves all the delivery services overwhelmed. I'm an active amazon Prime member and the quick delivery guarantee is no more. But it will come back.

That's just not true because we deliver lots of ground on Saturday, management makes sure of it. They want to lighten Monday as much as possible for seniority drivers, also, protect against 9.5 grievances and protect Friday for a smashing day for the driver... I'm in the bay area, California. Probably different how you guys do it, but this is how we do it.

We obviously have two different local contracts and are run according to state, local, and chapter rules. Everything is different.

I feel your pain. I ordered a Liquagen 5 stage RO/DI off Amazon and it was supposed to be here by the 15th. I just checked the tracking number and there have been no updates since last Wednesday other than it's somewhere between California and Georgia and they changed the estimated date to the 20th.

Do you blame them ??

That's not my situation if you actually ready my post. Also, I have no issues with it being delayed...just an update of what's happening with my package is all I'm frustrated about.

Yep lots of delays. Ordered some toys for son’s birthday and it took 3 weeks to get them delivered...

Thank you for that information, like I said I have no issues with delays as I understand whats going on with the world, is delivering a box of facemasks to a hospital more important than 10lbs of rocks? heck no, not at all. Should I still be updated on where my package is? I think so
