You guys weren't kidding about UPS

That's not my situation if you actually ready my post. Also, I have no issues with it being delayed...just an update of what's happening with my package is all I'm frustrated about.
I did read your post, complaining here is not going to help much. First world problems.

Really no way to sugar coat this. Anyone who orders any livestock right now is ignorant, foolish, or both. All carriers have stated for a while now that they no longer guarantee over night or any other high priority shipments. This has been discussed in many different threads be it livestock, toilet paper, dry goods, or anything else hobby or home related.
Everyone is frustrated no doubt but just about every supply chain is wrecked right now due to the world pandemic. Everything is shifting, changing, to include policies daily if not hourly. Even if there is talk of loosening up SIP they are still changing.

Welcome to the New World Order...for a while anyway. Sorry about your delays, and others, but really is nothing we can do about it on our side other than just 'be aware'. Best of luck and stay safe.

@saf1could not agree more. I remember reading a thread you posted or were very active in relating to this topic some weeks back. Like I said before, I understand and this not a problem to me. I just feel as the consumer they should still update me with my package location. Even "Sorry dude no idea where the package is" would be totally ok by me

I agree 100%. They should. By no means do I mean to sound like we the people should give them a pass. I know I come in hot sometimes and really mean no harm. Probably should have butted out, right?

Hope all is well with you and yours.

For some reason UPS in my area is the one that seems to be overloaded.
It was pretty much equal before the covid pandemic.
I feel sorry for those guys. I see them dropping off packages in my neighborhood at 9:30-10 pm.
I've been frustrated in the past 2 months because those extra printer cables I ordered from amazon didn't get to me in the 2 days it promised. But then I hear and see the UPS truck rolling down my street at 9:30 and I'm all sleepy on my couch in my sweats, and I think it must suck to be working 12+ hour days.

@mfinn Agreed! Definitely a very hard job that goes unnoticed to many!

This!

But for me (maybe I'm lucky) I'm getting deliveries pretty much as expected. I ordered a mini-fridge from Box Store a month ago. They shipped via FEDEX. Two day delivery. I watched the shipment move across Atlanta and sit for a day. then a day to Jacksonville, scheduled for delivery the next day by end of the day. On the truck and "out for delivery" - come 8 PM = Delivery Cancelled. This went on for four days straight. Called Box Store customer service, they wrote it off as lost freight, ordered a second one at less cost (discount for aggravation) and watched it ship, arrive, load and same thing for three days. Finally they BOTH showed up on the same day on my porch stacked one on top of the other.

I called customer service, told them (they looked at the notes) what happened. He chuckled and said he had no way to get it back so I got a free mini-fridge.

My problem is I support a logistics program (peripherally) and understand how this stuff is tracked on truck, off truck, in the lot, etc. To "lose" a box for that duration and show it on the truck then off the yard for delivery then cancelled is just insane.

Either way it worked out for me. I've still to find a place to put that second mini-fridge!

Thats a crazy story! The vendor I bought this package from updated that my package was "going to be delayed by one delivery day" yesterday afternoon while ups just updated saying the same thing and it should be delivered today. Lets see!
