Set your tank up correctly and vacations are no problem. I've left my tank for 10 day with no problem.

you realize that your mood is directly tied to how good (or bad) your corals are looking.

I just hooked up a CO2 scrubber to my tank yesterday and with my pH now at 8.2 my corals are looking super happy at the moment. Polyp extension hasn't looked so good in months. I realized I'm now too feeling super happy as a result of seeing this

From my ole days (early 2000)

You know you are a hardcore reefer when your tank is in your bedroom (2 ft parallel to your bed) and your are running two 400w MH full blast night time because we are not running the AC in dead heat of summer and you are sleeping with a box fan running full blast that's in the window over your head and only being held there by a broomstick. And yes...I had hit the broomstick a few times in my sleep.

Youre a hardcore reefer when you are reefing full on gaze at a stoplight and forget to hit the gas/greenlight due to watching Xenia pulse while the angry rotarian behind you lays on the horn.

Like what people do with texting nowadays...but in 03 we only had car reefs to distract.

You set up a WiFi camera for when you leave on business trips because you know that no one else will keep watch of your tank like you do. You then check the tank about every hour while out of town and monitor your wife feeding the fish to make sure it's done just right.
